Usyk doesn't stop Fury, his best chance is to hope that Fury comes in fat and unmotivated after making millions against Ngannou, so he can tip-tap around Fury for 12 rounds.

Usyk failed to KO Chisora and Joshua twice, his only heavyweight stoppages are against the great Chazz Witherspoon and Daniel Dubois, but he’s gonna stop Tyson Fury?

 

I agree. I think we would see the best Usyk against Fury. Fury either gets knock out or quits on one knee.

See, that's exactly where I see it completely differently. It's virtually impossible to beat Usyk on points. He is too busy and lands too much for that. As it stands, I'd say there's less than 1% chance you beat him unless you stop him.

And whatever Fury fans think of Fury's power now with this Kronk thing, Fury, taken his size and weight into account, is a very light puncher. The third Wilder fight was actually ridiculous. A dizzy, exhausted, basically stationary Wilder was hit over and over and over and over and over and over by Fury and was still standing until almost the last round. Fury landed what, 150 power punches (not jabs, power punches!) on a human punching bag Wilder until he finally stopped him. You will never land 150 power punches on Usyk.

As strange as it sounds, I firmly believe that the hardest fight for Usyk would be Ruiz with that hand speed and combination punches. I see Fury as a very easy fight for Usyk as he is faster (both his hands and his feet) and Fury's size means a big target. If Cunningham, who is not a poor man's but a homeless man's Usyk, caused all sorts of troubles for a decade younger, 30-40 lbs lighter, faster, more mobile and agile Fury, imagine what Usyk will do to him. I always chuckle when Fury casuals say that "oh, the Cunningham fight was such a long time ago, Fury is much better now" - better in what, speed, mobility, stamina and work rate? Those are the things you need against Usyk and those are the exact things that go away first as you age, especially if you carry some 30-40 lbs excess weight on your frame. The longer Fury waits with the Usyk fight, the worse chances he will have.

If Fury ever mans up enough to face Usyk, people will be absolutely shocked how average and slow Usyk will make him look. It's one thing to look quick on your feet against the Whytes of the world, and it's a completely different thing to match Usyk in terms of speed and mobility. Usyk beats Fury with a very wide UD, and Fury knows that this fight will be his downfall. It's no wonder he has been avoiding Usyk like the plague.

 

He played possum against Chisora (it was rather obvious, and recently he admitted that this was the case) and still win without any problems, then dominated Joshua twice very comfortably. What is your point?

 

Fury wears him down, goes to the body, uses his weight and size advantage. If Dubois was able to knock him out, imagine what Fury will do.

 

I'm not too sure he played possum that much against chisora. It was more a styles thing.

He couldn't stand toe to toe with del boy like he did AJ or dubois because chiora isn't about to engage in a boxing match. Chisora made him dance around the ring on the backfoot a bit like ruiz did to AJ in the rematch.

 

Well i can see that Belly would be testing Mr Usyks midriff, not getting into the debate re the Dubois punch.
