Have Hrgovic's chances increased now compared to before?

I've been following boxing, particularly the heavyweights, since the 1970s. Fans always want one heavyweight champion. But those fights are rare.

Calling everyone a bum who doesn't have a belt just because you want Usyk vs Fury isn't going to make that fight happen sooner. They've had plenty of chances to make it. No org is blocking them. The only people stopping that fight are the two boxers.

In the meantime, Usyk-Hrgovic would be a great fight. Usyk-Zhang would be a great fight. Hrgovic-Zhang was ALREADY a great fight and certainly warrants a return.

You can appreciate others without running every heavyweight down who isn't Usyk or Fury.

I think Hrgovic can win rounds and will last the distance, uysk takes over late as he usually does.

Hrgovic needs to be more active if he wants a chance of winning this. He looked out of shape and rusty against McKean.

He's obviously miles better than Dubois and might make it uncomfortable, but Usyk is going to nick the rounds and make the distance in any case.

Dubblechin has addressed some of your statements. Nevertheless I want to add mine.
A close, competitive fight is not a "robbery". Calling it a robbery doesn't add to your argument. It just makes it look like you dislike Filip.
Your best point. Amateurs matter to a degree, but not too much.
This isn't the 1920s or even 70s. 31, especially for a HW, is hardly "time is running out" in the 2020s.

    Yes, he does X2.
    It is, however...
It did, but HW boxing continued. As it will now. The odds of Fury-Usyk happening ASAP are slim to none. So should big HW fights involving Usyk or Fury be put on hold until they meet? Nonsense.

Usyk doesn’t lose a round against this guy. Probably doesn’t lose an exchange with him. I hope the fight doesn’t happen. Fury should be his next opponent. When fury is done fighting a novice.

Hrgovic looks like he can't be bothered most of the time.

Usyk wins wide UD on work rate alone.

16 fights in 7 yrs and went from Journeymen straight into Zhang.

I agree about the Dubois's and the Hrgovic's of the world getting title shots, these guys aren't ready. Especially against the levels of Usyk. What happened to fighting your way through top contenders to get to the top. Or is that just a fairy tale lol

Hrgovic is unfairly judged by most based on the zhang fight. It was a close fight that could've gone either way but he got the nod on his worst day at the office regardless. Let's not forget zhang has proven to be no joke since then too.
Fans have short memories. Hrgovic had some great performances prior to the zhang fight. Inactivity hasn't helped him in recent years but I'd fancy him to give usyk a good fight if the mandatory is forced. I'm basing that on his best performances as opposed to his worst ones.

Bootleg Vitali has a rabbit-puncher's chance to maybe get a foul and a five minute rest break in between his thorough outclassing. Otherwise, no.

Larry Holmes went on a run of facing them, as opposed to qualified contenders.
