I dont really follow either fighter, but I would have to go with Smith.

    Smith

I dont like Eubank very much, tbh. I liked his father though. But this roy jones mimic..... no thank you, I find his boxing mostly annoying.

This is definitely a vast improvement over your butthole smelling thread in the Lounge.:sisi1

I picked Beefy for the upset, the first time around. Nothing has changed.

The Scouser, hands down for me.

I've never been keen on Jr TBH, I've always seen him as an entitled spoilt brat, but I loved his original and quirky old man for sure.

I seem to be one of the few that actually admits to liking CEJ.
No doubt an absolutely insufferable tw@t but always brings the heat, almost to the point of absurdity. When he starts winging in shots and emptying the tank it's always fascinating to me.
I think Smith is as dull as dishwater and would be more than happy to see Eubank finish him savagely and pull some ultra-cringe pose.
Maybe I'm in a club of 1 ha ha

Club of 2 and in agreement. He's a total brat but not afraid of fighting and a good personality for the sport.

I used to strongly dislike CEJ. He came across as a complete weirdo/borderline sociopath but he's grown on me a little since he started smiling and showing a different side of his personality. He's still unlikable and a twat at times but a lot less so. Was a big fan of his old man though

I never used to like Smith either albeit to a much lesser extent but I've always appreciated his intelligent pressure style and skills. He's been very underrated by many in that regard. And he's morphed into quite the trash talker of late. Like I said yesterday, nothing flashy but brilliantly effective

I feel the same way mate, Jr has always been aloof despite having a disappointing career, athletic decent chin but never evolved skill wise, thinking he knows best. His old man was quirky, charismatic and more importantly was a tough dude.

This notion that CEJ has an iron chin baffles me. To clarify, I believe he has a good one, possibly even very good, but many act like he inherited his father's which just isn't the case. His old man's was certified iron and proven over and over again against big/murderous punchers.

What punchers has CEJ fought? Groves could definitely crack and he had a big weight advantage on the night. But he dropped him x 2 IMO albeit the ref didn't count them

The other is Abraham but he was completely washed up and he barely landed anything IIRC

Again, I think CEJ has a good chin for sure but many overrate just how good it is because of his old man and him not having been stopped prior to Smith.

    Good thread,

I am pulling for Eubank, he is a good guy & humble,

I also like Liam as well & he's really been improving over the past three years but still would like Chris to triumph here.

I agree with your points & in the past felt the same especially about Eubank as he used to be overly cringe & to cocky for no reason but has really evolved more into the mature humble guy that we see now,

I believe in the last fight Chris just got too overconfident & started leaving his hands down for too long which Liam took advantage of but that's the price you pay when you're not being laser focused & joking around in the ring.

Eubank was put down by Watson and Collins. Hardly hard hitters

Agree, I think because his old man was as tough as coffin nails, many assumed Jr would be the same.
The fact is Jr. never faced anyone like Benn, Watson, Malinga or Calzaghe.
In fact I can only think of Groves who clowned Jr and Abraham who was so far passed prime I called the police to report elderly abuse...
