He looked like Robert Deniro in raging Bull when LaMotta was fighting Robinson for the last time and just gave up looking completely dejected, he wouldn`t even answer his corner in between rounds, one of his corner asked him if he was okay and he didn`t reply.

I have not watched the first Smith/Eubank Jr fight. But based on its decisive outcome, I was surprised to find live prefight odds on DraftKings for this rematch to have Smith listed as only a -170 favourite, and Eubank Jr a +135 underdog. Today in the first three rounds, with Eubank Jr moderately busy and Smith throwing very little in return, I assumed Smith was biding his time while waiting for an opportunity to let his power shots fly. By the 10th round, with the same dynamic having persisted all fight long, and with Smith now throwing absolutely nothing, I wondered what could possibly have happened to Smith between January and September 2023. Postfight he mentioned having "rolled (his) ankle" at some point, but that would not have prevented him from throwing punches. Prior to this fight I thought Smith was still borderline world level, but having seen this fight, I now think he should retire. Postfight Smith halfheartedly suggested they should have a trilogy fight, but I am sure he was the only one in the entire AO Arena who thought that. For his part, Eubank Jr postfight called out "Kell" (which surprised me bc I thought Kell Brook had retired, and if he hasn't yet, he should), and then he called out Golovkin (who based on his last fight, vs Canelo in September 2022, looked absolutely shot). So Eubank Jr isn't exactly reaching for the highest fruit on the tree. Which is probably just as well, bc although on paper this was a good win for him, in reality it was a 10-round walkover.

It's meaningless as Smith was completely off clearly carrying an injury, and Smith was never remotely an elite boxer.
It's like Wilder sparking blown up average cruisers it's about context, Chris looked sharp because he was fighting a dude wearing lead boots.

Arguably his ankle went earlier than that. But fine, let's say it was after the KD, then that really puts into perspective what a worthless piece of crap Eubank really is now doesn't it? He had a one legged man in an ass kicking contest and it still took him teeing off for 6 more rounds to put him away, which was a pathetic stoppage on top of that.

Maybe he was boxing to instruction and not wading in carelessly. Perhaps you know better than Bomac and his team how to train fighters after all you seem to think you know every thing.

Maybe you're an in denial weasel. Why is it so hard for you to admit, Eubank lucked out with that injury?

It's funny how narratives can grow wings.

All we heard after the first fight were excuses from CEJ and what seemed like a billion of his fans too, and I must say he has a very weird, uniquely weird at that, fanbase on social media, about elbows and the weight (and his fans on social media are still running hard with that elbow narrative to this day).

However, when we do actually see a clearly extremely compromised Smith turn up for the rematch who couldn't close the range if his life depended on it, with zero head movement, and who couldn't and didn't mount a single attack the entire fight that consisted of more than one punch, or put combinations together and people are acting like It was a masterclass performance by the master boxer CEJ

All of the aforementioned things are not only things Smith does well but he's excellent at doing and he was completely incapable of doing any of them and if you think that's primarily down to what CEJ was doing you're seriously deluded.

Like I said, I'd have no problem giving CEJ credit had he beat an able-bodied Smith, and I don't even really dislike him anymore either, but that's far from what happened. Smith looked like a cadaver from the first bell.

    Watch

It's night and day. Smith looks like a completely different species here - able-bodied, full of vigor and energy, and fighting tooth and nail with a far far superior boxer than CEJ is or could ever be and a harder hitting one too

Yeah when the guy you don’t want to win actually wins they luck out. Maybe you should congratulate CEJ on his revenge win but you won’t because you are not a big enough man to do that.

Yeah for sure, traditionally a strong division not so much these days as with other weight divisions.

Who had the more dominant win? CEJ or Bud? I actually think Eubank cause Smith looked so bad. I think the buildup and pressure was just to much.

Like CEJ said after the first fight Smith and his team were crying celebrating because they didn't expect to win. When CEJ won today he had barely any emotion because it was just what he expected to happen.

Self confidence goes a long way. Smith was mentally defeated before he stepped in the ring which is amazing considering the circumstances.

Look I give Jnr credit for doing what he did however it's hollow when it's againt a dude not firing back, as Serge said above if it was a situation where both men were fit and Jnr broke Smith down then that's very different, that didn't happen.
You literally base everything off race only because you're a mental midget, it is what it is.
For the record pretty much all my favourite boxers growing up were black, I don't hold the same bias as you, it's based on heart, skill and likeability to me, everything else is irrelevant.
