I give him credit and thought he fought well. Smith was way off usual but some of that was down to CEJ’s performance. The bloke is as arrogant as they come and an average fighter, but he deserves credit for changing things up and coming back like he did.

As for the title, im on the fence. Leaning towards NOPE!

He looked kind of like his old self but I definitely think he was a bit safety first.
Was he scared of getting hit or scared of giving Beefy an opportunity to hit him?

I dunno but I prefer the pre Roy Jones version than the current version.

Of course. How could you not be? Most people thought he would lose again and he humiliated Smith, won every second of the fight, and although the stoppage was premature, he did get it.

It was a wipeout. He basically Lacey'd him.

It's not that I have some great desire to see the third fight in a trilogy, but rather it's just the right thing to do. It's a female dog move to act like it's all done and dusted when you're 1-1 against someone after they were honorable enough to give you the chance to avenge your loss to them

GGG is done, old, inactive and he doesn't even hold a belt. If CEJ genuinely wants to become a world champion he should be chasing the actual champs at 160. I think Janibek will be happy to oblige him.

Believe it or not, I actually favoured Benn to KO CEJ and obviously that was before Smith got there first

CEJ blamed his loss at 168 on not being a 168 pounder. He said all those guys he was fighting at that weight were 20-30lbs heavier than him which is a lie. Groves was a big SMW and a lot heavier than him on the night but not 20-30lbs heavier

Benavidez, Morrell and the ginger demon would send him to the shadow realm so there's no point moving up to 168

In the presser Jr himself said that he's keen for a trilogy if thats what the fans want to see.

Groves wasn't even much bigger at all IMO, that was a load of BS. It was the clinching that really beat Jr.
Jr had no idea how to handle that.

Jr would be average sized at minimum at 168 if not big, he's bigger than Canelo who is tiny at the weight.
He probably does get mauled, but size wouldn't be the issue.

I honestly think the ridiculous weight cutting has ruined him, especially trying to cut to 157.

Either Smith trilogy, Benn or a champ in his next fight.

If he fights Brook I hope he gets his ass whooped

Abraham was a shell of himself that should have lost to Murray.

That's good to hear. I respect him for that. It demonstrates he has honour, which you would expect from someone who proclaims to live in accordance to the warrior code. But many of his fans on social media are cut from a different cloth

Groves had about a stone on him. That's a lot of weight to give away. Unless he's lying about his weight.

Those guys I mentioned up at 168 are coming in about 178-185 in general.

    Clenelo comes in about 178-180,

Benavidez comes in about 185 but he's a very big guy and he I think he came in super heavy once when he failed to make weight.

No idea what Morrell comes in at but he's a very big guy too with a large LHW frame and I should imagine it's about the same with him. He would wipe CEJ out in a couple of rounds IMO as would Benavidez. I'd actually give CEJ a lot of respect if he fought those guys and put up a good fight

Be disgusting if he cherrypicks Brook's ghost

Your post is so wrong it’s unbelievable. I say what I think. It should be very clear on this forum I don’t follow the herd and independent in my thoughts nor do I give a damn about popularity.

Why should I make excuses for Spence losing to Crawford when Spence himself makes no excuses because like me he knows excuses are crap. His job is simple which is to win the rematch which is what great fighters do. All of you on here saying he should not take the rematch think he is like you and don’t understand how real fighters and champions are. Spence has exercised the rematch clause because he knows and believes he will do much better and believes he will win full stop. No excuses are made tacitly so correct your false assumptions.

Also I am not a fan or hater of CEJ however he impressed me with his performance last night and his demeanour all of fight week. Smith did not elect to have the rematch because he had no choice as was bound by the terms of the original contract. It was nothing to do with honour on Smith’s part. Had he refused and tried to take another fight he would have faced a lawsuit and lost and this was big money fight economically. If Smith wants a rematch he will get it as CEJ won’t avoid it. Another big fight on Sky why not? Though I have not heard Smith request it yet! Don’t get carried away with the comments on fans on social media as most of them are not clued up on boxing business.

Lil g and Benn are big money fights and I think Lil g may have kept one of his belts.

It's not wrong at all. I like you, Olu, but I'm mot buying what you're selling

You won't make those excuses publicly on here but I know you secretly believe them

Why did you pick AJ to KO Usyk twice when Usyk is a generational talent, an absolute magician in the ring, and clearly the far superior fighter and he took him to school in the first fight? You were pushing that AJ tried to outbox the boxer and would've won had he been more aggressive narrative even if it was tacitly or least believed it and that's the reason you picked him via KO again even though your boxing expertise should've told you exactly what was going to happen.

Smith could've easily wriggled out of it if he wanted to. Team CEJ were pursuing the Benn fight and potential other opponents were being discussed for Smith. He was injured in camp and could've pulled out if he wanted but apparently he was given a take it or leave it offer. Leave it means they were moving on.

CEJ's fans on social media were not the only ones making endless excuses. CEJ was too but the selective outrage mob are suddenly all up in arms about excuses when they've been as silent as church mice regarding his and his fans doing it in infinitely higher numbers

Of course Smith wants the trilogy. His brothers and trainer have said as much, if not him himself

That's good if CEJ wants the rubber match. That's the right thing to do and I respect him for that and if he should beat an able-bodied Smith in the rematch I will give him his respect for doing so as I'm all but certain Smith will be a much better version than we saw yesterday night. As you know, I'm a man of honour and fairness too.

GGG does not hold any of the belts according to the rankings I checked. They could be incorrect so I can't say for sure.

If it's a question of honour and respect, Smith shows none so deserves none.

According to some ITT the only way Eubank gets credit is if he had left camp to work as Smith's personal chef to ensure the best version of Smith on fight night.

Wow Serge you can read my mind! Boy you must special gifts mate that’s for sure.
I picked AJ to win yes nor do I deny it he just needed to channel his inner Femi which he was not able to do. Also you will note I appreciate Usyk’s talent.

As for fans of CEJ and Smith on social media, many fans chat **** and as you know our forum is not excluded. Frankly I see nothing wrong with a 3rd fight with Smith. If Smith and CEJ want it game on though I suspect we will get the Benn fight first because it’s lucrative.

As a man of honour and fairness credit CEJ for his win and look forward to the rematch. I felt CEJ would win the rematch but he still had to out there and do it against the guy who stopped him the last time.

Yes and for the record you know I really like you and love you too (obviously not in homosexual way) especially our cheeky humorous exchanges.

No not really Eubank Jr is almost 34 years old and has literally stayed at the same level since he lost to Billy Joe Saunders, he's only had 1 title fight in 36 fights vs Groves and lost that convincingly. And doesn't seem to want to try and an attempt to step up to the next level, shamelessly calling out Golovkin who is old and washed up, and calling out Benn ? why not call out the other title holders ?

This is the kind of fight you should be having after like 18-20 professional fights, Eubank is still at domestic level after 36 fights that should tell you something.
