I think Jones Jr wins. Too fast. But it might go to the scorecards. Instead of **** arsing about with mediocre WBA heavyweight holders and going after alphabet belts this is the fight that could have made him an ATG Light Heavyweight. All those knockout loses may or may not be contributed to going from 175 to Heavy and back but does him winning WBA title against John Ruiz really make a standing on his ATG status. NO. Should have stayed at 175 wiped out the division. Just my opinion.

the issue at the time was Dariusz insisted that Roy has to come Germany. Why should Roy who was the man at the time gave to go fight in corrupted Germany.

Roy was the P4P man. Not Light Heavyweight man. As for corruption ok. Ali fought all over the world. If Roy was the man the he should have fought him anywhere. Get neutral judges referee whatever. In the whole scheme of things if the reason RJJ didn’t fight Dariusz was because of being the MAN and Germany being corrupt what a lame excuse for a legendary ATG fighter not to Unify against the recognised Lineal champion. Excuses on hindsight and after the event and all. Basically a crock of ****.

Roy's speed is way too much for DM.

So if I want to attempt a judgement based on eye test (which seems to be the best...only?... metric available), which Micalchzewski fights do I try to search up? Or if one is so inclined they can dm me a link.

I have a hard time believing anybody beats peak RJJr anywhere near his weight, but I'll totally entertain the possibility for the purposes of this discussion.

Jones was the man too at LH. It was for DM to come to the US to beat the man.

This was to a lesser extent a Michael Spinks Mike Tyson type of situation. RJJ may look like the man at Light Heavyweight now but DM had a true claim to the title. As for where they fought who cares. Where the money is. Purse parity may of become a problem although admittedly RJJ would definitely been the main draw. Purse parity Jones. Victory Jones. But it didn’t happen. Blame Jones and DM. Mainly Jones. Jones definitely had the influence to make this fight. DM didn’t carry that type of influence. So RJJ can take the blame for not completely owning 175.

Jones was too talented for Dariusz to beat him. Dariusz was good fighter with enormous power in both hands, but I think he wouldn't be able to land clearly on Jones, who would outbox him comfortably without risking too much

Jones destroys him in my opinion.

Michalczewski went life and death with the likes of Richard Hall twice who Jones toyed with different levels........

It was a very frustrating time back then.

Lots of issues surrounding that fight.
