Not saying I’d bet money on it.. But Mike McCallum MIGHT be a potential problem.

Anybody with an iron chin, big punch and decent technique is in with a shout I think. That said those three attributes in combination is pretty rare.

147 - SRR, SRL, possibly the three Cubans too (Rodriguez, Gavilan and Napoles). I'd have him favorite over just about everyone else at '47

Robinson is a pretty bad match-up for Hearns, I like him in that one. Leonard already did so. From there it's really thin just as who else could win. Mickey Walker, maybe? Armstrong is probably too small, and the same can be said of Pacquiao, Mayweather, Whitaker, Napoles, Duran, etc.

I wouldn't give Rodriguez much of a chance either, that type of style was just simply ineffective against Tommy.

Gavilan is a very good match-up, I can see Hearns losing that one.

    Both Sugar Ray's at 147
At 154 I don't think anybody beats Hearns. I don't buy the McCallum hype

Welter ? Super welter? Robinson and Leonard,,,,, Only. Only The two Sugars have the right ingredients of height, reach, speed, skill level, power, mental toughness, defensive ability, and ability to take Hearns power long enough to beat him.
Robinson, Leonard and Hearns in that order in my opinion are the 3 very best welterweight and Super welters in history head to head.

Same day weighin over prime Hearns? Only Robinson and maybe Leonard at 147. Only Robinson at 154. Day early weighin, only Robinson at both weights.

Ray Robinson's best over WW weight was around 154/155 lbs. He smokes Hearns for me - everything that Leonard did, but with more power, more ferocious bodywork and just a better pedigree of experience.

Hearns' macho will get him outpunched to the body and the combos that Robbi threw, I don't think Tommy has the durability to survive .

I like Gavilan's chances most of the 3 Cuban greats. Why don't you give Rodriguez much of a chance btw?
