- Marvin Hagler - Thomas Hearns - Julio Cesar Chavez - Pernell Whitaker - RJJ - Lennox Lewis - ODLH - Felix Trinidad - Erik Morales - Floyd Mayweather Jr
P4P, it would be something like the following, for me: FMJ Whitaker RJJ Hagler JCC Hearns ODLH Lewis Morales Trinidad
Good list. Although on the prime-for-prime basis I'd rank Whitaker and RJJ over Floyd. Mine ranking would be: 1. Whitaker 2. RJJ 3. FMJ 4. Hagler 5. Hearns 6. JCC 7. Morales 8. ODLH 9. Lewis 10. Trinidad The reason why I have Morales over ODLH and Lewis is that his 2 best wins are better than any win in their respective careers (like Vargas, Quartey, old Whitaker and Chavez for Oscar or old Holyfield, Vitali and shot Tyson for Lewis). Plus, in addition, he had some other excellent wins over guys like Junior Jones and Ayala
01 - Pernell Whitaker 02 - Floyd Mayweather 03 - RJJ 04 - Marvin Hagler 05 - JCC 06 - Thomas Hearns 07 - Oscar 08 - Lennox Lewis 09 - Erik Morales 10 - Felix Trinidad
Cheers but the thread starter wasn't making a top 10 list of all time. Just where each poster would place those fighters in order out of those 10.
Yes, if it were H2H p4p list at each fighter's respective peaks, I'd go 1) RJJ; 2) Whitaker; and 3) FMJ. When factoring in longevity and consistency to an ATG ranking, I had it the way I had it, but still close between those 3, I've no qualms with however they're ordered.
We have Whitaker & FMJ and JCC & Hearns the other way around from each other, but otherwise our lists are identical.
1 Roy Jones 2 Pernell Whittaker 3 Floyd Mayweather 4 Marvin Hagler 5 Thomas Hearns 6 Julio Cesar Chavez 7 Oscar Del La Hoya 8 Lennox Lewis 9 Eric Morales 10 Felix Trinidad
1. Hagler 2. Whitaker 3. Hearns 4. Mayweather 5. Jones 6. Chavez 7. Tito 8. Morales 9. Lewis 10. Oscar
I got that, but the title of the thread said. "rank these GREATS in order", not "rank these fighters in order".
