Most Savage run of competition by a non ATG in recent times?

First that springs to mind, is Carl Froch.

I consider him a non-ATG and Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson, Ward, Bute, Mack (the only non top-10 boxer in this run), Kessler, Groves, Groves, isn't a bad run.

 

Depends what you think of Sung Kil Moon. I think he’s good enough for some people to call him great - anyways take a look at his run, his 20 something fight career was absolutely a Kamikaze bomber trajectory - his fighting style reflected that abandon for danger.

Ricardo Mayorga had fought Vernon Forrest, Felix Trinidad, ODLH, Fernando Vargas, Shane Mosley, and Miguel Cotto within 2003-2011. Pretty crazy run if you think about it.

Maybe too early for this thread but Sumbu Kalambay fought in order Graham, Barkley, McCallum, Sims, DeWitt and Nunn (only losing to Nunn). Still had enough in the tank after that to beat Graham again and Steve Collins.

 

While Maca certainly lost to most of the former and future champion, He did beat Kawashima and drew with Yoddamrong to be fair! Also took an 0 from Japanese Olympian Segawa, beat future 3 time contender in Shigeru Nakazato and couple more solid fighters - so He was very capable gate-keeper with numerous wins over fighters who were in top 10 in the divisions at one point or the other.

From higher level fighters, I think Chico Corrales's run from 2003 to 2007 is worth mentioning:
Casamayor I -> Casamayor II -> Freitas -> Castillo I -> Castillo II -> Casamayor III -> Joshua Clottey.

Nothing but killers, not even one tune-up inbetween - and 3-4 record in that spell.
