LMAO about this idiot JMM fans who are so contented about PACMAN getting wobbled. They don't know the big difference between WOBBLED and KNOCKED DOWN, spcecially seeing JMM's feet up in the air. That just showed how BIAS these people are...GURU PRETENDERS.:hat

That's absolutely TRUE. It's one way of eliminating competition. Why not show their fairness by bringing him back.:hat

How about "The Baby Bull" Juan Diaz, Should he get passed Katsidas I think he'd match up very well Vs. Pacquiao.
(Assuming Pac still has anything after the De La Hoya debacle)

The way to beat Pacquiao should be considerably different from the way Cotto lost to Margarito. Of course, he may lose to a bigger man who may not fall apart from his wild two fisted attack but that particular opponent will have to outpunch and slow down the throttling machine in Pac... Pacquiao will not simply get trapped, busted up and broken down by a stalker hunting him down and delievering in spurts and in between Pac's high paced attack... I believe it is a pure boxer that can take Pacquiao's attack and pace to outslick him and decision him, someone in the Casa - JMM style.

This is a pretty pointless thread. All you're basically saying is "once Pacquiao meets a guy who is much better than him, he'll lose". Erm, I think that applies to all/any boxers. There is no comparison to be made with Cotto at all because they are completely different fighters, and when Pac does lose again (if ever), it will not be in a similar fashion to Cotto, as Pac is too fast, too mobile, and (thanks to Roach) has a better defence than Miguel.

Yes, of course there are guys at 140 and 147 who could beat him, but that isn't because of some stylistic flaw in Pac or some great intuitive insight by you, it's because he first won a world title at flyweight (112) and would lose solely on size and weight. Obvious.

I don't even know why you're searching for a man to beat Pac- did you see either of the Marquez fights? JMM arguably won both (I had the first a draw, but I had Marquez winning the rematch by a point), so there's your man right there in a third fight, no insight required.

jmm will never be aggressive against pac, he knows that it will be risky.

i think its not pressure fighter that can beat pac, its more of a technical one, like jmm or guzman, he'll sure have troubles against these guys. pressure fighters are tailor made for pac, its a KO waiting to happen.

OK. I'm talking about the situation that you are talking about. It's not a rule that should be followed. Your analogy is "non siquitur"

Like I said, "IF" you understand what I meant

You are entirely missing the point here then dude.:deal

I know Pac can be outboxed, we have seen it before, and I won't argue on that. Guzman and JMM, at the top of my mind, are the boxers who can outbox him and probably win using their skills. (Technically, JMM never won against Pac.)

He can also lost, that is as clear as a sunny day. Eric Morales and some obscure fighters made sure that he is not invincible.

The point here, is Pac mainly relies on his deadly combination of power and speed to overwhelm his opponent. That's it. He is not as versatile as MAB whose versatility we saw in the two battles he had with Juarez. He is not as fundamentally sound as JMM who have effective offense and defense to boot.

That is why, if he encounters someone who won't be bullied by his pressure, he will be a value meal lunch for taking. He would be helpless. By then, you would be reminded of how Cotto fared against Margarito.

Against Guzman and JMM, he won't be made to quit, that is for sure. He might be outboxed, but he won't be discouraged.

Only Hatton IMO (or anyone naturally bigger) who has a pressure style can really made him look like Cotto against Margarito.

As for the comparison with Cotto, they basically have the same pressure style. They pressure with their power and quickness, though Pac throws from all imaginable angles, while Cotto gives straighter, crispier power shots.

I agree with the title of your thread if talk about ODHL as pac's opponent but if you talk about hatton. I think pac can win over hatton..but not with odlh
