Ruiz is not an active fighter at this point. He’s basically Keith Thurman. Will come off the couch for the right payday but otherwise has no interest in the sport.

I think Ruiz has blown through a good portion of his money. His lifestyle is ridiculous, and how much can he really have left with 2 mediocre fights in 4 years.

Ironically, with Whyte and Parker pretty much out of the picture for serious contention, Ruiz could beat another one or two decent names and be considered a firm top 5.

people are funny, andy ruiz is in shape right now. Dude is not inactive at all. In the gym everyday and in good shape right now. Alot of people flat out talking nonsense about andy just shows hate and ignorance or stupidity. He looks in some of the best shape ive seen right now.

He has fast hands and significant talent. If he comes prepared and in shape, I'd love to see him get a big fight. His physique offends some but the old cliche that boxing is not a bodybuilding contest is true.

The thing with Andy that can never be excused is he had the HW division on a platter after his KO of AJ.

For most boxers, that would be a once in a lifetime opportunity, something that an entire career is geared towards. But to have a fight, which if he was victorious in, would've put him at the very pinnacle ( not to mention control of his subsequent earning opportunities ) of the most feted division in boxing, is simply what most boxers dream of.

Now I'm not saying that Ruiz would have or should have won that rematch, he would've been an underdog no matter the shape he came in at, rightly or wrongly. But to turn up in that condition, with all of that on the line, to a fight which would've given him the keys to the very castle he claims he's being kept out of now, is beyond comprehension to me.

I think Ruiz is finding spending millions more fun than earning them. Plus have heard him say he expects to earn a larger amount each fight and boxing rarely works like that.

Good call and a huge contrast of styles. Think Fury would frustrate Ruiz no end but also think Ruiz eventually catches him and that that is the beginning of the end.
