Good analysis. Joyce UD for me as well, likely a controversial UD.

If Zhang trained his cardio and did sparring for this one he'd probably going to wreck Joyce even worse. Joyce's problems are pretty damn large, in that he has little defence and glacial speed. No amount of practice is going to be able to improve his speed whereas Zhang can certainly improve his cardio. In my opinion Zhang is simply the better faster boxer and its his fight to lose.

I think Joyce boxes more cautiously but still outworks the aging Zhang for a tight and probably controversial decision.

Not expecting fireworks. If it is fireworks, Joyce likely is getting KTFO.

That scenario requires Joyce being able to stop the straight left. If he can't do that, then the fight will not be close.

Yes that's definitely the case with them wanting to face southpaws to help them prepare for Usyk

Wallin would've been a much better choice. He still would've been a risky opponent to opt to face when you're already in a mandatory position, and I think he would've caused him stylistic issues, but Big Bang obviously hits much harder than him and I think Big Joe would still be the interim champ now had he opted to face Wallin instead.

People should really know better by now than to bet against a Brit in a rematch

To name just a tiny few

Lennox Lewis vs Rahman and McCall
    Leigh Wood vs Lara
    AJ vs Fat Andy
Warrington was going to batter the ever loving crap out of Lara in their rematch had Lara not gone full angry billy goat and started butting him like crazy

Thing is we Brits are very versatile and adaptable and we can box and brawl with anyone and if we opt to use our slickness it's game over

What happened when Wood turned slickster against Lara and AJ did the same against Fat Andy? They took them to school and won every round

Sure Usyk was able to beat AJ twice and Ali beat Cooper and Bugner twice but it's Usyk and Ali for goodness sake, both of whom have stepped up to Brit Level many times

Big Bang should rightfully start as favourite and of course he can definitely win again, but don't be surprised if Big Joe switches to slick mode and outboxes him or knocks him out in the back half of the fight.

My head tells me Big Bang will repeat the trick but obviously I am fully aware of the fact that we Brits are just built different

Regarding Big Bang getting robbed should it go the distance? Sure that's a concern but he's actually signed to Queensbury Promotions now and Big Joe has never been one of Big Frank's favourites (Dubois is his 2nd fav HW). Big Bang becoming full champ could prove a very lucrative signing for Big Frank given the size of the Chinese market.

Joyce is a slow plodder. Don't see much changing.

Surely Zhang is mandatory for Usyk after this?

Usyk vs Zhang would be interesting fight.

Oooof, this will only be like the second decent HW top-10 matchup ALL YEAR, so shame you couldn't prepare something. At any rate, no worries, we know life gets in the way sometimes.

Joyce looks way lighter to me. Maybe 20lb lighter than first fight. Lighter on feet plan.

I have Zhang winning again, and if Joyce somehow manages to outlast him I think it will be a pyrrhic victory. He'll just take so much damage over two fights. Because I don't see how he'd all of a sudden develop the defence to avoid Zhang's punches. He's always been there to hit. Zhang punches just did too much damage.
