The clue is in what Eddie doesn't say rather than what he does say. He's playing "cleared to fight" on a loop to all these youtube journos and they're all lapping it up. Absolutely pathetic.
This. Like it or not he's allowed to fight, some people need to get over it but rest assured they'll all be watching.
It's funny how Hearn and Benn can blatantly lie in interviews but hide behind the 'its confidential ' when asked for any proof to back up their claims. If there was any justice, not only would Benn not be allowed to fight but Hearn would have his licence stripped
Froch being an idiot there, "he's getting a lot of hate". Because he's an entitled, unpleasant individual, that targets retired smaller fighters, fighters extremely aged and/or small, has never beaten anyone of note, yet seems to think he's a huge respected player on the world stage, and is owed a living, maybe that's why? Just shows the difference in the respective generations, Eubank and Benn Snr both fought their way up, and fought killers (Snr less so admittedly as he milked his WBO reign, but he still produced when it counted, Wharton for example), Benn Vs Barkley, McClellan, Eubank Vs Benn, and later against the far bigger Thompson. Eubank jnr and Conor Benn have had careers off the back of faded opponents, with neither looking for legacy fights, or genuine titles, just PPV money. I'd love this to backfire and the opponent fail to read the script, and for Benn to get blasted out, but he's clearly a very poor opponent with a decent looking record. I hate the sport sometimes
They made that ruling based on a stupid technality involving VADA testing not being enforceable in the UK for suspensions. Nothing to do with whether they believed your Matchroom hero was innocent.
Yeah everyone will be staying up until early hours to watch a domestic level boxer fight an inactive 37 year old.
Feels good never contributing another penny to it but what has his lifestyle got to do with the sport of boxing? Too much focus on Promoters instead of the cards and fights on here. Benn has failed more than one drug test and Matchroom condone drug abuse promoting a fighter that has not been cleared. The sport is dangerous enough without drugs cheats being allowed to fight.
Is he even domestic level though? I mean, would he be favourite to defeat Josh Kelly, Ekow Essuman, Michael McKinson?
no one is watching that fight this weekend, despite all the drugs hes on he still cant fight someone with a pulse
