He has to, coz Joe Calzaghe wouldn't fight him, and Arthur Abraham has a mandatory he has to take care of. Calzaghe is fighting Tarver & Johnson's left-overs from 3-4 YEARS ago, beating up a 40-year-old shot legend for money- shameful, when there's a young hungry guy like Pavlik whom he could've fought instead. That's Joe for you.

I am sure you Pavlik haters would have rather seen him fight Mora, Rubio, or Duddy? You would have given him zero credit for these fights and now give him zero credit for Hopkins. I am sure though, that when the Calzaghe/Hopkins fight was first announced you all talked about how brave Calzaghe was for taking on a 43 year old legend like Hopkins. I think the fight between Pavlik and Hopkins is crap myself, but it was the best option available until Abraham is freed up early next year or if Calzaghe does not puss out after the Jones fight.

People are idiots. Pavliks the one trying to fight Calzaghe who ran away from him. If he cant fight Puszaghe is he supposed to put his career on hold ? No you fight the next best guys and Bernard Hopkins is it I know Calzaghe outworked Hopkins but the fight proved Hopkins is a better fight if it was just 2 years earlier **** hes the one who landed the good shots. Is Bernard Hopkins also supposed to stop fighting because he lost a fight ? Yeah shame on a great fighter fighting another great fighter how ****ing dare he that god damn fraud.

 

I would have preferred Pavlik-Abraham but Pavlik-Hopkins is an interesting fight too.
B-Hop isn't just a 'Calzaghe leftover' - many people actually had him winning that fight (I'm not gonna start arguing about that here, it's been discussed enough on this forum already without results). B-Hop is still a top LHW. Another thing, don't count the old man out in this fight, not yet...
