This was cold blooded from Warren here. Straight after the fight, he's pulled the old Don King, rode in on one horse, and left on the back of the winner. Pretty much no ****s given when Joyce was mentioned to him at the end.

Frank never seems to have thought highly of Joe.
He was obviously gutted when Joe beat Dubois even though he promoted both fighters

 

he also used Joyce as a pawn to block Fury from having to take any real fights, the whole reason why these Zhang fights happened.

Warren did Joe dirty. Totally mismanaged him and cost him millions.

 

This smells like nonsense to me. Tell us what millions Joyce was in line to earn pre-Warren and where he's missed them in between?

Would Fury have fought Joyce if the latter was with another promoter? No chance. Would AJ have made him an offer? Not until the Zhang fight exposed him. What am I missing?

 

this was an entirely voluntary rematch of an entirely voluntary fight. he was in line for Usyk’s WBO and instead got steered into a career ending beating for $668,644.

even just doing a Fury and fake-retiring for a year would have done him much better in the long run.

 

It was great that we could see the undercard live on YouTube, but the production was again very amateurish. Camera angles that looked mysterious, the cutting between the different cameras didn't work etc.

Huge respect from here to Zhang and at the same time I feel sad for Joyce. You won't find a nicer person in professional boxing than Joyce. Whatever he decides to do in the future, I wish him all the best.

 

I agree. On DAZN UK she seemed a little stiff, but in the company of Buncey and Carl Frampton she is really good. She seemed very relaxed, which is difficult on live TV.

I picked Zhang to stop him, but I didn't think it would be that quick.
Joyce sat on his stool at the end of the second round, knew he was in big trouble, he looked to me like he didn't want to come out for the third.
Sad to see him knocked out like that, but Zhang in both fights exposed his limitations.
