Frank Smith next week: This content is protected At this stage I'm thinking there's an ongoing 'Brewster's millions' situation where Matchroom have to lose a billion to gain a trillion. Seems the most reasonable explanation for carcrashroom's consistent show of contempt for their customer base.
Eddie's been doing it for years though. With the whole "Sitting in your mums basement in your transformer pyjamas criticising us. Who are you to criticise us?" Obviously they are just annoyed that people won't let up about this and rightly so. No one cares about the fans and why should they. We'd live in a dream world if we thought they cared about their customers. However they've totally misread the room on the Conor Benn case. All I can say is if it wasn't for Talksport or Fight Disciples and Boxing News to an extent who kept on questioning this, it would have been buried by the IFL and Boxing Social Gang of idiots, a year ago.

It’s a shame than Eubank loves the cash so much, if he completely shut down the Benn fight on the basis he’s a cheat, where do these huge PPV fights come from for him? He will get ironed out against the top guys and get what 1-3m purse? Then he’s done. Hearn is banking on the Eubank fight which will be huge, really his only cash out. I for sure will be watching and wearing my kfc jacket cheering on Eubank.
I hope this gets the backlash from the wider public that it deserves. They expect us to pay many many millions to line Benn's and Matchroom's pockets but it's none of our business as to why Benn failed 2 drugs tests? We have had Hearn, Benn and Smith ramming his 'innocence' down our throats for last 18 months. Telling us they have scientific proof and we will all owe Benn an apology " hope he apology is as loud as the disrespect", dragging their feet and not showing the BBBofC their 270 page dossier, hiding behind legal confidentiality excuse when anyone dares ask a question they don't like ect ect ect. Then now according to them, Benn has won his hearing and been cleared they won't even tell us the paying public who pay their bills, the reason he was cleared? And more than that Smith mocks us? The fat smarmy twat! The way that Hearn and Smith have gone about the whole Benn fiasco has been disgusting from start to finish. I hope they get their commupance
The stupidity is off the scale. 'It's like a criminal case right? I go to court get done for something and then I get off. It's never public is it? I reckon your average builder who reads newspapers every day full of the proceedings which take place, in public, in criminal courts could tell him different. It's the definition of public. Not that he'd listen as they're only builders.
It would be a massive shame if TalkSport picked up on Frank Smith's latest comments and put them front and centre, I'm sure TalkSport's core demo of builders, tradespeople etc would love to hear his thoughts.
So people who don't deserve to see all this expert evidence proving Benn's innocence include builders, journalists, the public at large and the BBBofC.
I would love that. Sadly even media outlets that seem sick of Hearn dare not to push too much at risk of being blackballed for future interviews
I think I said this yesterday but Hearn said it in his IFL interview today as well so I will repeat it. Matchroom received a small site hosting fee to stage an event there. Not as big as Monaco obviously, but it's nowhere comparable to York Hall. Austin Williams won and is ranked 2nd with the WBA at 160 so could fight for a World Title soon. Hitchins might be the best fighter at 140 outside the champions. He's ranked 3rd on BoxRec at 140. So comparing the Orlando Show to York Hall is weird and wrong which I said yesterday. Hitchins isn't a big name so it made sense for him to headline at a smaller venue even though Hitchins vs Zepeda was a great matchup on paper. With Edgar Berlanga Matchroom can virtually sell out Madison Square Garden Theatre every single time. They sold more tickets for Berlanga vs Quigley than Lopez vs Taylor at the same venue.
