As I’ve said before sometimes size does count, and this is certainly one of those times but style wise this is also a nightmare for Rocky. He’d obviously be looking to get on the inside but trying to get past the jab and that devastating long leading right uppercut would be a nightmare. If Rocky got past 3 rounds he’ll have done very well but it wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t get past 3 minutes.
Marciano had a secret ingredient - the indominable will to win. The 2nd Ezzard Charles fight illustrates that. Charles had split Rocky's nose open and his corner couldn't stop the bleeding. His corner was told he would not be allowed to come out for the 9th round. He had to put Charles away in the 8th or lose his title. He did. He knocked him out. I think Rocky would find a way to win against Foreman.
I've seen the underlined in so many posts about Rocky.I dismiss it out of hand because what is required is HOW? Author Mike Stanton Talks Brockton’s Own Boxing Legend Rocky Marciano And New Biography “Unbeaten” - YouTube
Marciano can have all the will in the world, he still won't see past the 3rd vs Foreman. Marciano while crouching would be lifted off his feet by Foremans uppercut, and he will flat down on the mat looking up at the lights.
How would Zaire been predicted? An older slowed down Ali vs a thunderous puncher who had easily demolished everyone he faced. Who would have predicted an ALI 8th round KO? No one.
Marciano wouldn't be doing the rope a dope, he would be getting his head knocked off with a Foreman uppercut.

Exactly. Some matchups are so bad willpower is irrelevant. Shawn Porter has tons of willpower but I can't see him beating Hearns in 10 attempts.
Sorry, Rocky has as much chance against George as a snowball in hell and Rocky will come to Foreman just like Frazier did . What's his alternative ? stick and move? The only intrigue here is does Marciano make it to the second round. In fantasy matchups this one may very well be the worst stylistic match up ever.
Marciano is giving up 40lbs, 6in in height, 11in of reach, going up against a physically strong hard hitter with a proven record of having no issue landing big punches on shorter guys. There's certainly a case for Marciano being a greater fighter than Foreman, but H2H? I don't see how he can pull it off. He's giving up too much physically, and Foreman has too many specific advantages against short guys (ability to hit them hard, great uppercuts, big strength, solid grappling ability). The only chance I think Rocky has got is if he gets a ref who won't allow pushing. If he ends up with a ref who ignores it, he might well be stopped.
