    Looking forward to this one. Two talented heavyweights going at it is always welcome, but especially in a year where the division has been so lacking. Thank goodness for this and the Zhang-Joyce fights, and maybe Fury-Usyk if it manages to happen before the year draws to a close. Speaking of that last one, one of those guys is gonna get a good resume boost at the detriment of the other, which adds to the drama of an already good matchup. Not a preview of their fight by any means, but it's definitely gonna add to the discussion until their first bell rings.

    Not sure who's gonna win this one, but looking forward to seeing how it plays out :ggg

    I heard ring walks are at 9pm (an hour from now) but I have no idea if that's true or not. I'd start watching around then and I'd also check this thread beforehand just in case it starts earlier

    The fighters are expected to ringwalk at around 8:00 PM UTC at Regnum Carya Hotel, Antalya, Turkiye, which is 4:00 PM EST or 1:00 PM PST on the West Coast of America, or 9:00 PM BST in the UK

    Either Gassiev knows he isn't getting any younger and wants to send a message to the division and maybe even get a title shot before it's time to hang them up. Prove to everyone that the Usyk fight was just a bad day. This is whats i'm hoping for, and then we'll get a great fight.

    Or perhaps he knows he is done and the Wallin fight was the best offer out there. Otto has since long been trying to get a meaningfull fight and perhaps his promotor gave Gassiev an offer he couldn't refuse in order to give Otto a boost in the rankings. Then I assume Gassiev will just be looking to land that one big punch and let Otto lead the fight.

    Otherwise I don't understand why Gassiev with his inactivity, surgeries and prior difficulties with a mobile sothpaw would take the fight with Wallin, who's been avoided because of his high risk low reward.

    Yes. The fact that he's obviously not been serious about his career for five years which is almost a lifetime in boxing suggests it could be the later. I hope not but 4 fights in 5 years against binmen and journeymen is terrible and such a massive waste of his prime years.

    When the fight first got announced I had Gassiev. I’ve changed my mind and Wallin will win by whatever means necessary. Too big, too strong
