Canelo is too big. Crawford would get badly hurt.

Exactly why I think Bud has a chance. As great as Canelo is, he fights flat footed. Bud seems to possess all time great type skills.

We all know a well placed counter punch creates extra power. Bud has the clear foot and speed advantage. Bud doesn't need to hurt Canelo to win, just get enough respect to make Canelo think twice with well placed counters.

Benavidez is too big, at least Canelo is short.

When there were one exponent fewer divisions and same day weigh-ins were the law of the land. Now weight divisions are little more than a marketing ploy.

Yes but Crawford has never stopped the bigger guys that Canelo has.

I think you're probably right, but I can't remember. Who is the last guy Alvarez stopped. Was it Plant? I'm not picking Crawford over Canelo. Yet. But I don't think the concept is as ridiculous as some folks make it out to be. The weight class thing just doesn't hold as much water as it used to.

If Bud ever fought Charlo, i would put down a sh*t ton of money he takes Charlo inside the distance.

My two cents on Terrence vs Canelo (168) the bridge is too far Canelo would bully him like he did to Charlo.

Crawford will be the one landing the points, methodically moving and poking and proding Canelo, body and head, looking to counter off any bites Canelo makes on Crawford’s more deliberate pokes/touches. Canelo will be a bit thicker, heavier and stronger, but Crawford will be the slightly taller and longer armed fighter. Canelo throws one punch at a time, and though he can eventually catch, hurt or knock down Crawford, I don’t see a stoppage. Canelo doesn’t throw enough, if he can’t get you with a single punch you’re pretty much good, if it were the Canelo who threw combinations maybe. Otherwise Crawford is too calm, experienced, he will carefully watch Canelo, avoid, clinch & turn etc. And like I said, Crawford will be the one throwing/touching more, the one looking for counter’s more, so outside of getting caught big, he’ll probably be taking the rounds.

I can also see a bit of a war breaking out. If Canelo is really pushing Crawford, taking clear rds, Terence might turn it up and start trying to push Canelo back, rolling and countering infront of him like he was doing vs Kavaliauskas.

I’d expect a great fight either way.

If he doesn't want to earn the fight he should not get the fight. What happened to respecting belts and undisputed? Now idiots are calling for someone 3 divisions lower to step ahead of the line and fight for it. Total farce.

Canelo done already got his free ride with Charlo. That fight boosted his resume cause Charlo was an undisputed champion. Don't matter that he came up from 154 and his heart had more holes in it than swiss cheese. It was a gift to Canelo, Charlo was lured with the promise of a big pay day and a hype campaign. I would feel much better about it if he had fought to win but it's like he came in knowing he would lose. A real buster.

Benavidez should get his shot before Bud and Bud should have to fight a top 10 contender at 168 before fighting Canelo.
