i can see what duran is trying to tell him, but hes having a hard time relaying the message to prograis.
What is he trying to say? pivoting leg bad? if so, my 15 years of boxing goes out of the window.. Tried punching straight right (rear hand) without pivot and it doesn't work. If I punch in close distance with feet more in parallel, than is OK, but straight rear punches are really bad without foot pivot. Try just rotating hips while punching, you get out of balance without pivoting your foot, and your rear hand can't go max distance (meet the distance of the jab) I also tried to see clearly from his fights, and he pivots foot when punching straight rear hand, so I dunno what he wanted to tell Prograis.
Training with the legend himself. Don’t know how much it’s going to help Prograis’ chances against Haney but you can’t go wrong with picking up some boxing knowledge from Duran.
