Considering we've heard nothing about the nature of the contracts, the negotiations and still don't have a date, I wouldn't get our hopes up. I think this would be the 3rd time the fight has been 'ON"?

Nggnaou is just pig ignorant. I don't blame him. He doesn't know squat about boxing so it's excusable kind of how Wilder believing it is excusable because he's clearly delusional and can't handle an L.

Someone like Carl Froch turning around tomorrow and saying he thinks Fury is a glove cheat would be inexcusable.

Fury will likely have big foam gloves for Francis because breaking his hand is more of a concern. May have even dictated the same gloves in their contract.

 

Even Hearn conceding he thinks the Fury-Usyk fight will happen and says he is selecting Fury to win.

 

Unless Fury stubs his toe, sniffs cocaine, gets sad, or a relative of his dies.

 

So since Usyk is an amazing, incredibly skilled and talented road-warrior, and no one is better than him, if Tyson Fury beats him, is Tyson an ATG?

 

I wonder if people overestimate Fury's autonomy in all this. The deal I found curious was the $80m deal Bob Arum got him with ESPN. They had very little if any actual return on that as far as I can see and allowed him to fight Schwartz and Wallin. What they DID get was Eddie Hearn given the runaround for 12 months chasing a fictional AJ/Fury match. At the time, remember, we were in 'game changed' territory with Hearn telling everyone that the current model of selling fights, as developed by Arum, and epitomised by his relationship with ESPN, was going to be sunk by subscription. Now, here we are again and Eddie's been chasing another pipedream with Wilder and is shut out of the action in Riyadh. To be honest, I don't think you go into business with Bob Arum and behave as Fury has unless he wants you to. It's worth remembering that the Furys were thanking MBS for a 'game changing' future development at the Paul/Fury fight back in February.

 

If Israel decide to go balls to the wall on Gaza which we'll know once they've fully mobilized and given the nod by murica' and some other countries like Lebanon decide to join the fray then this bout is OFF.
