A miracle is a one off. Woods just keeps doing it, no matter how outclassed he is

Feel like Wood was gonna stop him the next round anyways, but I do kinda wish the ref had given Warrington the chance to recover. At least give him his minute in the corner before you decide to call a stop to it, ya know?

Still, can't complain too much, considering Leigh is who I picked  You can never count this guy out.

Looking at the replay, that was actually a bit premature. Warrington had recovered better than I'd first thought.

Woods would get knocked the **** out in spectacular fashion if he moves up. To damn easy to hit and eats way to many punches

Josh Warrington was very good tonight, he's still got some good fights to make. Leigh Wood likely moves up or retires.

Maybe. But I know other fighters would have shown the ref more and looked to clear the cobwebs in-between rounds. You don't turn your back to the ref after a heavy knockdown even if the round is over.

Should have given warrington his minute after he grafted so hard to get up.

The difference is that Wood carries decent power (not top power, but decent enough) and Warrinton cant punch to safe his life.

And Warrinton was exchanging punches as if they were equally powerful. I was completely astonished with Warrinton's strategy, specially because it was working. His chin finally cracked , though, I cant say I'm surprised by that.

The round was over, of course he's going to walk to the corner. The stoppage was horrendous.

Yes, I agree. I didnt like the stoppage either. Specially in a fight with a such a big advantage in the cards, where the fighter can take several knees "for free" without directly losing the fight.
