Leon Spinks. Although, the fight might end in a draw.

Some people peak late — a fighter may lose some speed (and be slowing down) but that experience kicks in and they’re more effective.

But Joe’s better years of his career were later in his career, and even then there’s a lot of curious losses. I honestly don’t think he had a prime … just an up-and-down fighter.

What about Lennox Lewis and 1988 Mike Tyson?

As fast as Ezzard and Walcott could have their chin cracked, they had a recovery that was nearly (NEARLY) equatable to Joe Louis. Those two guys could take career-ending punches and stand up before the count of 8.

I think Sharkey is competitive in the sense that between his retirement and the hypothetical idea he continues to the 40's onward in his prime, he would've held a role similar to Quarry. A guard of the top ten challengers who kept people from reaching the champion. Idk where i'd place him, only that he'd be a problem until the heavyweights became considerably larger in the 60s
