    Always a tough un.
If Bowe could maybe sticking that jab out and not try and take him out to early, use all the size advantage and weight as much as possible.
But he could be hittable and if you start taking Tyson shots early on, then your putting yourself in danger.

    Tyson wins.
Bowe too hittable, too easy to hurt.

To be honest theyre not even in the same class.

I just watched bowe holyfield 1 yesterday. Holyfield fought the stupidest fight of his life, and was going life and death with inferior fighters on a consistent basis back then anyway. He played right into Bowes hands all night.
He traded too much, came in at 205 and instead of using his speed he lunged in with right hands(refused to change it up despite bowe countering the lead right with the right uppercut all night) and languished on the inside, absorbing punishment trying to wrestle with bowe and push him back. It was like he was trying to PROVE he could outmuscle and outpunch him. The same Holyfield fighting the same way gets knocked out by 1991 George Foreman(and 1991 Tyson for that matter imo)

Bowes standing is tremendously inflated due to the Holyfield style matchup.

I like Tyson to hammer out a decision. I can see him getting on the inside to work the head and body. Maybe even drop Bowe a time or two. It would be a tough fight though. Riddick was big, durable and could punch. Mike would have to work hard and be at 100% for this one

If this topic boils down to 1988 Mike Tyson Vs. 1992 Riddick Bowe - then Tyson wins.
Even 1989 Tyson wasn't the same as 1988 Tyson; he lost his "hunger" he no longer had anything to prove to himself and the world, defeating Michael Spinks.
Riddick's Bowe with two wins over one ATG is still a big question mark (what are his real capabilities), especially looking at the issue through the prism of Bowe Vs. Golota.
Tyson wins one way or another.

    I think so, too.

Bowe would have knocked the crap out of Mike if not for that weakness in defense...he took WAY too many shots to make it against Tyson.

Tyson wins an entertaining but clear UD.

Bowe has certain advantages in this, no doubt, but PRIME Mike Tyson? No. Tyson would have cleaned his clock, in my opinion.

If Bowe fights like Smith and Tucker did vs Mike he lasts this distance. More than likely Bowe brawls like he did with the Raw Deal and stopped by the 10 rd..

No chance in hell Bowe goes the distance with that atrocious defense. Golota of all people gave him all he could handle and then some.

Bowe lacked discipline outside of the ring and to an extent inside it - his defense was clearly his relative weakness. However he was mentally tough in the ring and had a great offensive arsenal. He could fight at long range or on the inside. Bowe was a big strong guy too. IF Bowe can survive the early rounds I would start to like his chances. Bowe wasn't a George Foreman but he could definitely put some serious hurt on Tyson. Bowe would be an extremely live underdog.

If Bowe goes for an all out war like he did with Holyfield, I don't see how he comes out on top. I don't see how really anyone comes out on top of a prime Tyson in a war. He has too many advantages there. He hits harder than Bowe (he certainly hits no less hard than Bowe) and has that power in both hands with all punches, is blazing fast, is fairly elusive (which Bowe was not), and has the durability to stand up to being tagged by some good shots on the way in.

If Bowe runs more of a gameplan like Douglas did, then ties up Mike and makes him pay for it every time he manages to close? He's got a fair shot.

The only one I might bet over a prime Tyson in a war would be Holyfield, who happens to have the right combination of attributes to deal with him.

Yeah, I agree . If Bowe brawls with Tyson he gets stopped, if he imitates the Boneclutcher he might go 12 and take a pounding.

    80's Tyson beats up Bowe.

Tyson beat guys like Bruno, Smith, Ruddock, etc. Bowe is completely unproven against even regular punchers of his era, let alone a 2-fisted puncher who also had a good chin and quick hands.

However, if this is Tyson from 96 onwards against any decent version of Bowe, I see Bowe managing to survive the early scary onslaught before stopping Tyson late with his high work rate, inside mauling, and heavy jab.
