Bivol didn't just beat Canelo , he actually schooled him & totally destroyed him . This is why Canelo ducks the rematch at 168 for the titles he knows he cannot beat him. I wonder what excuse Canelo will use now the WBC Suliaman has lifted their ban on Russian fighter's fighting for their WBC title ??? Bet Ginger doesn't like that
Makes him look a fake 168 champ who's scared to defend his title. If he doesn't fight him then that's exactly what he is

He was okay. His best asset was his engine. Not the most skilled or fastest of fighters but fundamentally sound and physically strong. He was not in a great era of middleweights hence he was essentially a flat track bully. He did not enjoy it when he faced true resistance from Canelo and Jacobs. Ultimate assessment he was good in fact real good or very good but far from great.

Bull Feces !! GG beat Canelo fair & square but got the renown Vegas shafting as we all know if were honest
Remember something.... Canelo gave up the WBC title once before rather than have to fight GGG till he was forced to I can see him doing it again rather than defend it against Dmitry Bivol who kicked his butt like like he stole somethin'. He's got no excuse now that Suliaman lifted the ban on Russian fighters not to defend the 168 title the Ginger one is holding to ransome. I'll bet he hands the titles back AGAIN!!!!!!! ROFL
Ginger & Floyd both suffer froim the same affliction I think Tiny Testellitous. How can you still support such cowardly supposed champions ??

No way Hagler was something else & he definitely beat Leonard in their matchup, they screwed him over big.

True but that was just the first sign showing us that GGG wouldn't go all out especially when he finally fought a top level fighter when he couldn't even do it to a lesser one in front of him, that was his first PPV too i remember HBO hoping it took him high & was his chance to really impress,

Things like this really makes you wonder where he really stands with his reluctancy in fights & further on when he wanted no business fighting guys that the fans wanted instead of just sitting idly by forever waiting on Canelo.

Maybe even a few more below as Canelo had proved himself over unlike GGG.

Nom, it shows he has a brain and knows when to use his skill early on. And he won with an 8th round TKO.

You don't just go balls in with a big puncher. That's not smart boxing at all.

You'd expect just as much for a opponent as Lemeuix, he did fine winning but i meant him going all out due to him finally getting his chance at being on PPV & the expectations that so many had for him.

An opponent as Lemeuix? he'd been known as a big puncher by anyone who's seen him. Hell, with his punch and hand speed, I'd have LOVED to see him against Canelo at the time. It wasn't a shoot out, but still entreating fight that ended how it should. Fighting recklessly just for a spectacular KO is terrible advice.

Who said anything about being & fighting recklessly,

Lemeuix wouldn't have ever been an acceptable enough opponent for someone like Canelo especially by the outrage it would garner by the fans had he chose that option but it was perfectly planed out for GGG's first major PPV event.

Agree 100% They screwed Hagler & gave the decision to a fraud. Leonard was supposed to be retired from boxing due to a detached retina & was hired by Akhbar Muhammad as advisor to Donald Curry. Donald was wanting to challenge Marvin but Leonard kept saying Wait!! Suddenly its on the news Leonard is making a come back to challenge Hagler himself. That snake in the grass was all the time negociating a fight with Hagler. When that broke Leonard had vamoosed from Texas. Probably one of the wisest things he ever did in retrospect.
When they screwed Hagler too by giving Saccharin Ray the decision it went too far
I regard that is the name Leonard deserves Only one Sugar Ray that was Mr Robinson

This. Could be a top 5 MW H2H, but we’ll never know because he didn’t have the quality of opposition to prove himself. I’d bet on him against a bunch of the “greatest” middleweights though.
