Does it annoy anyone else that it's become mainstrem parlance now to call Floyd "The Best Ever"?

You surprise me I thought you knew boxing. Obviously not if you are a Mayweather believer. The majority of the boxing fraternity consider Floyd a total hype job. Maybe its you should grow up LOL

Well it’s also become mainstream to respect some peoples wishes to be identified as a unisex water Buffalo and address them as they wish. Clown world we live in.

Just laugh at stuff like that and Captain iv’s fans and keep your sanity. We know he’s not.

Floyds a legend and one of the greatest but hes not the GREATEST.

Ive never been fond of calling someone the greatest boxer ever when there are 17 weight classes.

Basketball seems like the only sport you can really apply that logic too but its hard to compare a Tom Brady to a Ray Lewis or a Dick Butkus to a John Elway. Entirely different positions.

Same thing with boxing except with size and weight.

The greatest boxer ever? Probably one of those little guys like Ricardo Lopez that will get glossed over because hes 105lbs.

But what we should be doing is whos the greatest WW ever, greatest SMW ever or greatest LW ever. Keep it in the weight class.

Ali did it decades ago, it's called marketing. And I mean he earned the right to talk his **** to be fair. Nobody he fought made me feel like he lost and anybody you wish he fought wouldn't have beat him either, it was just his time.

It has always annoyed me. It's so funny to see propaganda work in real time.

I’m on board with Louis being the greatest heavyweight ever. I also have Holmes towards the top of my list

Meh, who cares. If it gets more people into boxing (actual boxing and not just being a Floyd fan) they watch enough matches on YouTube that the truth will come out and all will be right with the world.

Before Ali was the actual greatest, he was still called The Greatest. Before Nobles was an actual Jedi, he was still called that.

Ali was involved in way more controversial decisions than Mayweather ever was.

Not true !! How many "wins" did the Vegas judges give Floyd that he in no way deserved ???? How many times did the NSAC sweep Floyd's rule breaking under the carpet???? Remember IV gate ?? Really I think Floyd was a Chippendales reject who could run & dance but couldn't FIGHT!!!! They made him their cash cow & gullible casual fans fell for the spiel.

Definitely true. The only really controversial points decision was the Castillo one, what others do you think he lost on points? You obviously have never seen the judges scoring patterns for the Young, Lyle and Shavers fights- maybe you should educate yourself, they really are something to behold. Add the Norton and Jones decisions which most at ringside scored for Kenny and Doug (especially the former which caused a massive stink) and that’s some of collection of “controversies”.

Castillo beat him, Maidana beat him, Judah should have won by DQ, Ortiz should have won by DQ, Pacman should have been made a N/C due to Floyd's IV gate cheating. Dehydrated ??? ROFLMAO C'mon man
