It's probably just the wakeup call Fury really needed and Usyk didn't need.

I felt like Fury didn't really train for him or wanted to KO him (maybe for the rematch money ? ).

    Depends.

Is Fury shot or did Fury simply not prepare, not train, and come up against a guy who did both and did them well?

Is Ngannu just a good boxer with a lot of power? We need to see both guys in another fight to judge with any accuracy.

Usyk is also on the decline.

Usyk has to be the favourite off the back of that performance but I had Fury a 60-40 favourite before tonight, it would be daft to swing towards "Usyk will destroy Fury in 3 rounds" as many posters here are now doing.

Fury has never had a jab against a southpwaw. It just disapears as it did vs wallin.
Fury jabs from too low, he can jab AS a southpaw vs a southpaw but as orthodox he cant jab against a southpaw.

I think fury is shot. Stamina and coordination are gone. His punch resistance is eroding, so is his fighting spirit tbh. You saw fury getting mad and embarassed but too wary of the power to go in and do something about it as he did vs wilder

Usyk doesn't have the qualities that Ng had to neutralize Fury.

Much of Furys offensive effectiveness was stifled by Ngs size and strength. Not easy trying to maul someone when you're not outweighing them by 30lbs.

Usyk does not have the strength of Ng to keep himself from getting mauled.

Ngs power kept Fury scared to engage. Usyk does not have that either.

Fury will be much better prepared against Usyk. Fury will also be looking to make a statement after such a humiliation.

This fight really doesn't mean much for Usyk vs Fury, imo.

The only major relevancy tonight has for Usyk vs Fury, imo, is that it completely tarnished the entire event.

No way can I view that event with the prestige it had seemingly warranted, after tonight.

If that was the real Fury in the ring then he simply won't fight Usyk. . Usyk clowns and embarrasses tonights Fury.

Did you watch the fight? F**** Ngannou who was never been great striking even in his prime, and he is 37 now, after a hard surgery and been inactive for 2 year + he never boxed before outboxed and floored Fury.
Not just that but Fury at the round 8 was gassed by a low pace Ngannou.
Fury will be dead tired by the 3rd against Usyk.
Do you even realize Usyk pace and movement, and that he constantly put you under pressure ? That is mentally so draining.

And i'm absolutely sure that Usyk will KO Fury.
Ngannou power is so overrated it's unreal.
It's either going to be TKO or a KO stoppage by Usyk.

Given his strong performance in a split decision loss against Tyson Fury, should Francis Ngannou be ranked by Ring and TBRB, and if so in which position?

Aj=already lost to obese Andy Ruiz who would never beat Francis on his best day.
Wilder=Skinny basketball frame, he got gassed to crap by Fury's clinch game, Francis is far better at using the clinch to gas opponents. Also has a bigger frame in terms of width and shoulder size.
Zhang = old as crap, and totally wrote off Francis, he said it was like a kindergartener vs a college professor.

If Fury had never had a known boxing match before and you watched that fight, you’d think Wallin would dominate him, Ngannou’s physicality was a huge factor in this fight and that’s something Usyk doesn’t have.

All fight he was scared as hell to fight at close range so he was throwing 1 punch and grabbing.

Round 7 he decided to fight up close and got pummeled.

He then spent the last 3 rounds dancing and not throwing and survivivng.

He got embarassed in there. No way he beats Usyk,. He's done.

hard to tell given the level Fury showed here. He's probably crashed the boxrec top 5 after that but no doubt they won't put him as high.

As fans, we never know what really happened and the politics behind the scenes. From what we did see though, it did not look good for Fury and has given Ngannou a massive boost
