Not really, Zhang is smart and got power. Will look similar to Joyce fight imo. Ngannou should avoid, not much money in it anyway.
Zhang by brutal early KO. Simpletons are getting carried away with Ngannou on the basis he dropped a fat, lazy gypsy fraud.
I would favor Zhang but if he can’t bomb Ngannou out there is a good chance Ngannou takes the second half of the fight. Zhang can’t have an off night.
I was pretty impressed with how easily Ngannou took Fury's shots. No matter what his mental state was, he's still a 270 lb HW. That said, ZZ has much heavier hands and Ngannou will inevitably walk into something.
People needs to stop with this thread for Ngannou. The guy is terrible. He is going to get annihilated in his next fight if it's against a proper fighter.
Zhang would pick him off IMO. The best way to fight Zhang is to dictate his work rate and make him move at your speed. Usyk is likely to be able to take that path to a relatively comfortable victory. Ngannou is going to fight at a similar pace to Zhang, who I would back to have much better accuracy and follow up work.
Ngannou would do whatever he wants to do to him. If Francis told me he was going to be a professional singer, I’d believe him.
Ngannou would win in 3 months he learned boxing good enough to fight Fury to basically a draw. If he wants he can get a lot better his muscles will adapt more to boxing and his mind, he is a very fast learner. Boxing is a small sport always has been Guys like Fury are great athletes in a “small” sport. That’s like being the best athlete in a small town. Ngannou did not have the opportunity otherwise he probably could have been a great athlete in a big sport. Boxing, mma and other niche sports normally don’t have the best natural athletes in the world. That’s why Ngannou has been able to get to the top in both sports very quickly.
I refuse to be sold on Ngannou until he's had more than 1 fight, at this point in time there are too many questions around why Fury was so poor as opposed to why Ngannou was so good. I'd favour Zhang to beat him up and stop him late.
The problem I have with this board is that no one ever explains in an objective manner why said boxer beats the other in a nuance way. What does Zhang do better than Francis and vice-a-versa ? What challenges does Zhang face and what would Francis do if Zhang tees off? Francis could bully Zhang in the clinch. What is Zhang’s best punch? Does Zhang have vulnerabilities to Francis’s check hook? Instead what we get is ‘Zhang kos him easy’ Um ok sure.
