He would have dismantled Francis, like you say, he relished this kind of opponent.

The only outcome here is Ngannou leaving the arena in a hearse.

And to the guy who said Ngannou is stronger than Foreman…you are wrong.

These awful and disrespectful threads need to stop.

Shannon briggs is almost the same size naturally.
Francis is huge but hes also bulked up. I saw pictures of him in his mid 20s where he's 220 tops.

It's debatable that Ngannou is stronger. Foreman has never in either incarnation been in the ring with anyone that proved to be "stronger" and with a more solid base than him, and this is well beyond proven. Not one man handled Foreman, and we've got 70 fights to back that up. One fight against someone who isn't even known for strength means that he's stronger than the fighter that has 6 dozen fights proving he actually was?

Francis ain't fast and has no defense to speak of, but he'd be competitive against Foreman? Nah. And despite Ngannnou's success with Fury, and the fact that I think Foreman would stop Francis, I still think Fury would box circles around (that) Foreman.

    Triangle. Theory. Does. Not. Work.

We're getting a little crazy here...........

Many MMA analysts say that strength is Francis Ngannou's greatest asset.
Now that I was tricked by Google Translate, instead of what it says:
I'm not saying that Ngannou punches harder than Foreman, but he's stronger in the clinch...
I apologize for the confusion and misunderstanding, but I stand by the statement that Ngannou is stronger than Foreman IN THE CLINCH.

    No apology necessary.

I understand what you're saying about the clinch, and he does comes from that world..........I don't know man. We've seen attempts at muscling George around which just weren't successful. At no point in his career has he lost at that. Even the old man version. And with boxing, it's more of positioning and pushing back and forth than those lock up clinches. I think George is more experienced at that specific kind of clinch. I do get what you're saying though

Ngannou is an extremely lean, 6'4 270lbs man that has a wrestling base. It's almost guaranteed he'd be stronger than 91 Foreman in the clinch. Wrestlers >>>>> Boxers in terms of strength, tis not close.

He'd still get put in a coma though.

In the clinch because of his training, perhaps...but George was pushed around by precisely nobody during an 81 fight career. Literally nobody could move Foreman off whatever position he wanted to take.

Also, and this is a salient point, George Foreman had one of the heaviest and best jabs in the history of boxing. Ngannou is not going to be afforded many opportunities to drag George down the path he wants and he's going to suffer an unbelievable, if not insurmountable amount of damage in the process.

The other thing too is that Ngannou almost certainly cannot knock George out and so he is going to have to survive 12 rounds to get the win on points but the chances of that happening are zero because he is not going to outbox George either.

Foreman wins this fight in whatever method he chooses. If George wanted to predict the round he could almost certainly do that too.

Foreman never fought a lean 270lbs man that used to wrestle, so that doesn't mean much.

Ngannou gets obliterated, I think we're all aware of that. I'm not saying anything other than Ngannou (and likely any other MMA fighter that crosses over for that matter) is very likely stronger than the boxer in the clinch solely on account of it being a much larger part of their skill set and their physical training.

Not saying Ngannou is going to be in a position to use those skills lol.

Mate, how is Ngannou going to even get into the clinch with Foreman and do that often enough to be a factor? Foreman tore better fighters than Ngannou apart with his heavy jab alone....Ngannou is not going to be able to penetrate it for long enough to be a factor. He is going to eat an awful lot of leather and when it is George Foreman branded leather that he is chewing he is going down big time.

Foreman is a legend and one of the truly elite heavyweights of all time. Are we seriously giving a 37 year old, one fight against a fat gypsy guy any realistic hope? Yeah, FN is strong and is to be respected but this is territory that is not even worthy of debate. Seriously.

Mate, the issue is that we clearly aren't all aware of that, just check the OP and his position on it and why there is even a thread. And I am not even disagreeing with you, more using your very well written posts to explain how and why Foreman wins because we have the OP and others in here concocting all sorts of fairytales to justify picking Ngannou in this.

It's sad that it needs to be explained but it seems that some people are rather new to the sport and need educating.

Francis chin is still being underrated in Boxing circles. Those shots he took from Fury weren't too different than the ones that dropped Wilder but they looked like pitter patters because he took them so well.

I think AJ would be a good test to see how he holds up to a power puncher. I have the belief that only Zhang could KO Francis among current HWs.

As for George it's silly say a boxer with 1 fight would beat him but I don't think he'd KO Ngannou. I legitimately believe his chin is near supernatural and yes, I've seen him take all matters of fist, elbow and kick to the head in MMA with barely any effect.

Man, George KO's Ngannou within 3 rounds and then goes out for a plate of cheeseburgers.

Foreman is possibly the biggest puncher in boxing history.

Ohhhh I misunderstood, I thought your replies were directed at me specifically.

Yeah no y'all that think Ngannou would even be in a position to clinch are crazy. He'd get knocked out with the swiftness. I don't bring it up to suggest it'd help Ngannou because it wouldn't. Ngannou's defence was absolutely atrocious and not at a level required to not get his block knocked off by any decent power puncher. Joe Joyce had an iron chin, until Zhang connected with 60% of his power punches lol. 91 Foreman would either knock him out or stop him on cuts just from his jab alone.

There's a 0% chance it goes the distance and a -50% chance Foreman loses.
