Probably Tua, but Tyson was much quicker, far more skilled and had better boxing IQ, while being very close in power and close in punch resistance

Tua was more durable. I think Mike was a bit more powerful in punching power. He definitely was a better boxer.

It's not close in punch resistance

One shot power, Tua but it's close.
Durability, probably Tua again, he had a hell of a chin, though Mike had a good chin too.
Stamina, maybe Tua based on the Ike fight but Tyson's style required a lot more energy to pull off with all the head movement and crouching so low.

But Tyson was superior in many other areas. Technique, combinations, defence, ring IQ, footwork etc.

Tua had the better trick (left hook) and sturdier genetics

Tyson was just better at everything else though.

Yes it is Tyson took single shots better than most Heavyweights, he handled big punches from huge punchers like Bruno, Ruddock, etc. Tyson literally took alot of sustained punishment before he was finally stopped.

Tua could go into a bit of shell like he did vs Lewis, even a past his prime Tyson kept trying vs Lewis despite seriously being outgunned and taking alot of punishment.

Tua probably does have the edge overall in the chin department, but I don't think his chin was as tested vs huge puncher like Ruddock for example.

As for power Tua may have the edge regarding single punch power with his left hook, but Tyson overall had a more dangerous offence because he could KO you with either hand and is faster and more skillful.

Stamina is close Tua could have good workrate when he wanted to and had notable late stoppages which Tyson didn't really have in his career. But Tyson's style was alot more energetic and taxing on the body with the constant bobbing and weaving.

I think Tyson has the advantage here, largely because he is more tested than Tua. He ate hits from Bonecrusher, Bruno, Rudduck, Douglas, Lewis, etc. all guys who have have good or elite punching power. Particularly the beatdown from Douglas is what stands out the most as he wasn't in the best condition to begin with, yet was enough to withstand a 10 round beatdown. Douglas may have never brought Tyson down if he came in prepared which is quite frightening to think someone can eat that many hits from 234 lb man and still be left standing.

Tyson faster and more powerful and when fit and focussed like mentioned could eat bombs,Tua not so sure if it was down to being more durable but always managed to go the distance .

Tua is more durable. Never been stopped. Tyson stopped several times. Some of them from medium punchers. Tua the better stamina, carried power over 12 rounds. Broke the punch stat record. Tua probably had a bigger single punch with his left hook.

Tyson was faster and better skilled. Tyson was the better overall fighter.

Though I think had they fought, Tua would win due to styles. That durability and stamina would favor the Tuaman. Two come forward power punchers, the guy with the uncrackable chin and better stamina wins.

Tua in all categories but he was really slow footed though so he could get stuck on the end of a jab pretty easily. Tyson closed distance extremely fast and could reach taller fighters without much problem.

If Tua had quicker feet he would've had a lot more highlight reel Ruiz-style KOs.
