Why do some boxers make fake sounding noises when they punch?

Also for the guy who posted this. Later on I'll get two vids. As mentioned Tyson shadow boxing. He makes noises. As does Tszyu, and most guys.

Look at Oscar Valdes on the pads and bag. He's loud as ****. And he has to be. I loved watching Valdez train.

 

how do you distinguish a grunt from that? I think your splitting hairs here

 

I make this sound when I shadow box my dog, even when not throwing punches.

And he looks at me like, "My IQ is 15 but even I know you're P_ssy"

 

My girlfriend makes fake noises also.

 

For the same reasons women fake orgasms, to deceive.

 

It's a form of grunt. A grunt is nothing but exhalation. Have you ever thrown a punch i think not

 

Nobody does it like Botha. I was ****ing annoyed watching him fight Tyson, but very satisfied when all of a sudden he went silent when Tyson landed that right hand.

Original question: I think it's because when you're punching you're trained to exhale as you throw your shots, some people grunt, some "sss" some "ha", some loudly expel air out as they punch. I've never personally in a gym seen someone absolutely quiet when throwing though.

That's serial killer stuff
