Don't think this is far from the truth considering he looked smaller and weaker during that disgraceful comeback. They were so close to dragging Jr in at an unhealthy weight while Benn was pumped full of egg serum they'll be kicking themselves now. I'll bet they are seriously contemplating trying to age Jr out a bit further. Probably weighing up trying to fit in Brook or Khan if they are suitably knackered. Or perhaps Ricky Hatton in the meantime. Also wouldn't be surprised if Benn soon has some 100% real beef with a youtuber. You heard it here first..
I think you could be spot on about them trying to fight somebody else before Eubank like Khan or Brook first then try and revisit the Eubank fight when he's a little older with a bit more mileage onto his clock, "cos that's a massive fight that will always be there" for Benn.
Poetic justice, if ever there was. Looking forward to hearing Hearn's spin. Predicting he'll level some kind of blame on Eubank.
It could be that Conor Benn owes so much money to Eddie Hearn that there is nothing left from the purse he will receive in the upcoming Eubank Jr fight ?
I've always found Hearn's behaviour in all this, a bit perplexing. Why risk so much on Benn? Assumption is that Hearn is contractually obligated to maximise Benn's income from boxing, and given the legal costs, Benn is now pushing to make that agreement work. So now Hearn is both due to be repaid advances for legal fees, whilst having to "act in the best interests of the fighter" which probably doesn't include just getting his money back. Complete guesswork btw.
