I don't blame him, he did the math. Without the knockdowns against Old Man Ortiz he would have lost that match. Quite frankly even with them he probably should have. If you're struggling that much with a shot octogenarian and coming within a **** hair of being knocked the **** out by Chris Arreola, the writing is on the wall.

He priced himself out and then received a rude awakening that he wasn't worth what he thought he was.

    Unlikely.

We Be ****s simply took the chance and removed him from the rankings to argue Wilder was the fighting man and Ruiz was entirely at fault for everythng that happened.

For tye HW division maybe. For the truly talented divisions below 140, boxing is still alive and well in the western hemisphere.

    This sounds like rumors.

Ruiz is just an idiot and needs to learn to have loyalty or else he will be blacklisted.

First he betrayed Manny Robles, then he left PBC. I mean who the hell does he think he is?

He'll open up his own Burger King Franchise and put himself out of business.

Andy Ruiz since beating Joshua in 2019:
    - Got overweight and put in one of the worst title defences ever arguably losing every round.
    - Struggled with two 40 year olds who were absolutely shot.
    - Priced himself out of fights with Wilder, Fury, and Hrgovic.
    - Stayed horribly inactive.

At this point he’s got one foot out the door and looks to have little interest in continuing to develop his boxing career. Missing the Saudi boat shows a lack of ambition and absolutely dreadful management by his team. He’s one of the most disappointing and overrated heavyweights I’ve ever seen.

A shame if it's true as the guy is clearly very talented and is a threat to anyone in the division when he puts the work in instead of trying to single handedly keep Taco Bell in business.

His retirement wouldn't be surprising though. To say he has been inactive recently is an understatement. He only fought twice in the last four years so I've kind of already considered him as retired at this point.
