Prime for prime at middleweight, who ya got? Roy superman Jones junior or marvelous Marvin Hagler?

Another question, does Tyson fury go down as an atg if he beats usyk and Joshua?

At 160, Hagler by KO somewhere between rounds 8-11. Jones might lead on scorecards but let's face it, Roy was still a bit green at 160 and did not have a great chin.

Jones TKO 11 cuts. Dices Hagler up at range and is going to be bigger, faster, stronger, with better reflexes in every circumstance. Hagler's steady approach would be easily timeable for Jones and Hagler's lack of an explosive single KO punch alongside his lack of size relative to Jones would not create the enviroment for a repeat of Tarver 2.

Hagler didn't cut easy and it still seems a stretch to think that it would be bad enough for a stoppage. I don't remember Jones bloodying many fighters either, even when he was knocking everyone out.

Honestly I think RJJ would KO him but I didn't want to deal with the "mythical chin."

this is such a BS prediction.Hagler was never stopped in over 60 fights and had one of the best chins pound for pound of all times.

You're right, there's not much evidence to say why it would happen, but there's nothing also to say it couldn't. Jones had a crazy punch.

Its a shame that people are looking at the post knock out Roy when doing mythical matchups. Roys chin was fine at middle, super middle and majority of his light heavy reign....hell even upto heavyweight and yes he was caught by a few right hands from Ruiz. He didn't start having problems with is chin until AFTER coming back down from Heavyweight. If a formerly retired welter weight Ray leonard could go 12 rounds with Hagler, I don't see why a bigger, faster and more powerful RJJ couldn't and do even better

With the different weigh-ins, it's hard to even have them in the same weight class. Not sure how Jones would fare with a same day weigh-in.

Oh, missed the second bit - if Fury beat those two i'd not argue against anyone calling him ATG especially with one more win over, say, Zhang. Ending the Fury era, Wilder x 3 (IMO), somef contenders and Joshua and Usyk as well. It would make him the absolute standout of an era spanning a decade or so. Could do with a couple more contenders actually to really rubber stamp things.

For me it would somewhat depend on how Tyson Fury beat Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua. He certainly could reach all time great status, depending on your definition of the same and how high one needs to be ranked on an all time Heavyweight list to be considered an all-time great.

Why do you think that he would KO Hagler? And his chin WAS mythical.

Hagler vs Jones is hard pick for me. One scenario I can entertain is Hagler catching up and hurting Roy after being out sped and unable to catch Roy perfectly clean for a number of rounds prior.

And even if he beat Usyk and AJ, no, not nearly enough for Fury to be stamped an ATG imo.
