The same Callum smith that got worked over by John Ryder? lul. Lets see who Canelo fights next? If he agrees with you, he will fight him next. If he ducks and cherry picks I guess he disagrees with you.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Benavidez is a problem for both the 168 division and 175.

Good for the division that the fight happened. I hope Andrade will take solace in the thought he helped writing a history larger than himself.

I get Margarito hater vibes too. I said it before as well. He is a smart fighter but just likes to engage like Morales. Never gets credit for any defense even though he has plenty. People seem to think that if you aren’t constantly playing a defensive role, you have no skills. Or that defense looks like one thing. Benavidez has a potentially great career ahead of him because he does have skills, smarts, and the attitude in fighting that makes a great fighter.

Andrade is one of the most mediocre champions in recent memory, hes been a professional for 15 years and has not fought one single top name.

I'm glad Benavidez took away his inflated undefeated record.

Yes he is. The lad has got very good boxing ability. He is defensive responsible with a good ring IQ. The fact you don't see shows your lack of understanding about boxing. Excellent fundamentals

Didn't seem to matter to Canelo until he got to light heavyweight, you know that guy Andrade was "chasing?"

Also he didn't look anywhere near as bad. YDKSAB.

Yep, and I'm the one guy on this site that predicted John Ryder would work over Callum, and why did I predict that? Because styles makes fights, that's why. Not that I feel like trotting out that played out idiom, but in this case, it's very much applicable. Now, please tell me what Benavidez has in common with a short defensively sound compact southpaw with one of the best inside games in the business? Not a goddamn thing. If you stand in front of Callum Smith, you're in his line of fire and he can and most likely will hurt you. You square up like David tends to do, that could very well spell doom. How soon people forget, Callum was a beast at Super Middleweight, won the WBSS, but then clearly the weight started to become an issue. His last two matches at 168 he looked like a corpse at the weigh ins. But thus far at 175, he's looked like an absolute killer, and unlike Benavidez winning on accumulation, he's one shot sleeping mother****ers. Benavidez has been stunned several times and dropped. So it's not out of the realm of possibility that a guy with the power of Smith can put his lights out.
