Benavidez's counter left hook will give Canelo fits. When Canelo throws to the body, he leaves himself open to the left hook. Bivol took advantage of it. Benavidez will take advantage of it and it will hurt Canelo.

Benavidez has everything to beat Canelo. He's got long arms, body shots, power, speed, stamina and countering abilities. Canelo will look good for 4-5 rounds before Benavidez takes over and beat him down.

If Ben can take his punches, its not gonna be easy for Nelo. You either run or punch against David, Canelo cant and wont run, but if he has to throw punches to keep him at bay and David still moves forward, Saul gonna gas fast.

it reminds me of all the people picking pressure fighters to beat floyd only to be mad when their output fell off a cliff

Canelo struggles with boxers and movers and counter punchers. He has feasted on pressure fighters minus Golovkin who applied very educated pressure in the first fight

Im not saying Benavidez is not an interesting opponent or fight, I just wont be surprised if the counters and defensive work nullify a lot of davids activity and the fight is not the war some think it will be

GGG couldn't attack Canelo's body because he was too slow and would get countered. Benavidez doesn't have that issue.

Benavidez is nothing more than basic weight bully , he has size and age on canelo that’s all.

People forget how good of a counter puncher Canelo is because he's been fighting so many movers who don't open up.

    Youll learn

I can’t recall a fighter like David Benavidez that wants to taste the fire like the aforementioned.

It’s bordering on experimental I can see it in his eyes.

It's interesting as I said the same thing where I believe Canelo still might be able to get it done in the fight with him & I was waiting to see to tonight's performance in order to sway the mind in which David really impressed that also means him having diarrhea before the Plant fight could be valid.

The fact that no one is completely sure who would truly win makes the fight worth making instead of the usual predictable mismatches boxing promoters give us on the daily.

People can dismiss Benavidez all they want, but there is no more deserving fighter in the sport of boxing than him. He's beaten world champions and former world champions with relative ease.

The fight needs to happen next. The ultimate source of truth is in the ring, when Benavidez & Canelo engage in mortal kombat.

Canelo is no fool. He will play a slow, cautious defensive game against Benavidez and will counter him to death. Benavidez excels really well with his power volume punching....against opponents who have no power. Canelo obviously has power, enough to threaten Benavidez and has an asteroid-tier chin to boot. Not to mention he is a better boxer, better at mind games and controlling range.

Surviving 36 rounds trading punches with GGG + Bivols punches to the face for 12 rounds + Kovalev's punches >>>>> anything Benavidez has shown he can take.

Speaking of which, Bivol largely beat Canelo because he had the right temperament to not engage with him up close. You think Benavidez is known for his self-control in the ring? Lol. The dude becomes Cujo in a heartbeat and goes to town on the other guy because he knows they dont have the strength to ward him off. Once he gets hit by Canelo, he'll back off and become cautious. Then what? What will he do? Just keep coming forward getting the brakes countered off him?

The volume punching + power represents a threat to Canelo, but its not anything he hasn't already faced before nor is it something he can't come up with an answer for. Unless Canelo truly has degraded too much, I don't see him losing.
