Hey **** for brains, obviously fans overrate their guy, but not to the extent they were doing it for Loma. The reasons why were obvious. It’s okay for Loma to the matador and taunt but if other fighters do it they’re cocky and people would love to see them get knocked out.

You’re either playing dumb or you’re actually too dumb to see what’s so obvious.

All of the Loma/Floyd fanboys overrate them both. They say the exact same thing about both fighters, that they're the best ever.

It's no wonder so many Flomasexuals became Lomasexuals. Absolutely obsessed with their guy being the best.

 not to the extent. Get over it child. You freak out too much over what fans on a message board think. You live rent free in posters heads so long it's more like squatting.

You have no critical thinking skills at all. Just all emotion, false equivalencies and hyperbole. Get a f'n grip little girl.... go change your tampon FFS...

My favorite fighter made him cry and run out of the gym.

One day, I'll catch you calling a retired fighter over rated on a thread.

And when I do, by George will I bump this thread.

A boxing savant who mastered his craft as well as pretty much any man that has ever lived.

I don't think anyone beats him at 130. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he beats everyone at 135 too.

Not quite as otherworldly at 147lbs and above and there are genuine criticisms to be made about him prioritising business over legacy, but nobody of sound mind can seriously deny the man was a special talent.

He isn't the greatest ever, but very few fighters would have beaten him south of 147lbs. Very very few.

    Bang on, this.

He's pretty much dead center in between what Floyd thinks he is (that is, TBE, and not only superior to both Sugar Rays but the fantasy favorite over either) and what his haters - legion as they are, the ones who call him Duckweather, Fluid Mayweather, etc. and insist that Margarito kayos him in 1, as does Pac in his prime - think he is.

Which all triangulates to about "upper echelon of HOF/ATG talents from lightweight through welter, not the king of that mountain but nearer its apex than its base"

Awful fights , turned it into a non contact sport.

I'd rather watch a khan tear up, win or lose

Because he's a bitter hater who's still mad that pbf dominated an entire era of boxing with ease while beating his favorite fighters in the process. He'll never get over it and I love it.

Casual sports fans severely under rate him

Boxing fans who actually understand what's going on seem to rate him highly. An all time great but not the best ever

    The Best Ever.

90's, 2000's, 2010's, kicked ass in all those decades. Against the best. No one is even close to his level.

    Good on him.

Floyd is a very good boxer who went from PBF to Money around the time he owned A-side status after his fight with old Oscar. He jumped straight over 140 when Tszyu and Cotto were at their best. Thr fact he never fought Paul Williams is a perfect example of his ducking.

Noone knows how good he may have been but he is nowhere near top 10 ever.
