They just won’t leave Tony Bellew alone...

It’s not just Hearn either, it’s Joshua too. It’s as if Bellew has a childlike crush on him, it’s kind of strange tbh. He won’t have anything bad said against him. From what I can tell Joshua looks at Bellew as a bit of an irritant too.

 

He had to pay 10k to eyeballs before one of his fights, otherwise it didn't go ahead.
10k he didn't really have or could spare.
I can understand his loyalty to Hearn and that is fair enough, he made him a multi millionaire and got the fans paying PPV for the Haye fights, so you have to laugh at the cheek in the way they did it to be honest!!
It is ok being grateful but the way in which bellew goes about it is so ****ing cringey, i would rather he thanked me and be on his ****ing way.

 

Bellew remains a nobody in the celebrity world, until now. Minor celebrity will follow his ITV appearance but the vast majority watching will need someone to tell them who it is. And back to obscurity once the follow-on bookings dry up.

Not even the Creed appearance made him well known to the mainstream audience; I'm sure he thought he was the new Mr T at the time.

I play an annual game with some newspaper pals, mostly 40+ who don't cover sport, to see if they recognise the faces going into the jungle; not a single one knew Bellew. That being said, they barely knew anyone else this year either!

Edit: I don't get why people dislike him for being close to Hearn either. Why wouldn't he be? He is the dictionary definition for "earn with Hearn" in the Sky heyday...

 

I haven’t watched any of ‘I’m a celebrity’
Has Bellew had a meltdown yet or cried on camera saying how much he misses his wife and kids?

 

I don’t hate Bellew, I just think he comes across as very annoying at times. He is very biased on comms. His defence of AJ is way over the top imo. I also think he tries to come across as the big man a fair bit especially in his interviews with Koogs.

 

Got anymore background on this 10k? Did he simply owe it to Warren and it was time to collect?

I've not been watching I'm a celebrity but haven't missed that YouTube girl who gave poor Fred from first dates a load of unnecessary grief. Bellew at his worst still pales in comparison with some people let's be honest.

Haven’t watched the actual programme but saw a clip of our Tone telling his camp mates a few stories from the Usyk fight. A few gems:

“I don’t get emotional”
“It takes Usyk three rounds to figure opponents out. With me it took eight”
“The ref saved my life. I got up at six”

The last one is a complete lie because the ref waved the fight off before Bellew got up.

She is grotesque. A professional victim with a “bad b, boss woman” mentality fuelled by ogres in the public domain like Meg the Stallion and Cardi B.
