is prince naseem the most underated fighter?

Dont think he was underrated. He was a world class fighter and showman.

 

He had too short of a career.
His win over Kelley should be rated higher than it is, because even though he was dropped and all that that everybody knows, which people use to undervalue him (oh he had such a bad defense etc), well, he proved he was tough in there !
Now, a win over Kevin Kelley is not something that should make him great or something.... I loved Kevin Kelley, but you know...

Hamed was too bad tehcnically for me to like him.

 

I think he's definitely underrated on this forum yes because of his arrogant attitude.

15 title defences, lineal Featherweight champion, 8 wins against fighters who were world champions, 8 wins against top 10 ranked fighters.

Very underrated resume.

 

If there's a fighter that you can pick that might cause me to draw a distinction between being underrated and being underappreciated, I think it might be him. I think he gets underappreciated, because he doesn't get that much positive attention for his body of work and sensational performance, but he might be rated about right, in history, I think. Seventh.

 

Depends who you ask. His fans go overboard on him but he doesn’t have as many fans as he did.

 

Yes, Saddler was better technically than Hamed. He fought boxing, which is not only jabs and feet, Hamed used some type of choreography that hit people because he was fast.
I am joking a bit though.... to me, Hamed had a short carreer, maybe he would beat someone like Morales had he continued, and we would view him highly. But he had 30 fights and 2 or 3 againt live guys..

 

Overrated H2H when active by casual fans.

His resume can be underrated now hardcore boxing fans, as detailed by @Dynamicpuncher.

 

I do think you underrate him a bit though Chris, i've seen a post of yours before where you believe he should be rated outside of top 30 Featherweights. And based on his achievements at the weightclass and his H2H ability i don't see how that's possible personally.

Way back in the day when there was not this right here, nor youtube, I remember being so anxious to watch Hamed because most of his fights were not broadcasted on cable in my country, but he was talked a lot, and when I watched him against Barrera I was disappointing and found so weird to watch that guy fighting...

 

Not only that, by the time Hamed got to him, Kelly had been damaged in the Gonzalez war. Damn, he was almost ko'd by mediocrity Ricardo Rivera(hope I got that name right. I simply don't remember), years before Hamed.
