Louis-Ali-Dempsey-Tyson (also add Holmes-Lewis-Foreman-Liston) Make any of them fight each other and it's a dream fight.
The one fight I wouldn't miss for the world would be Floyd Mayweather jr - Antonio Margarito I'm practically certain that a 100% Margarito would stop Floyd. We all know, even the Floyd groupies, that Floyd blatantly ducked Antonio. We've all seen those videos Ive never seen a man look so scared & totally lose control like Floyd did when he saw Antonio standing there it was so embarrassing for him. Both Floyd & Oscar were bragging they wanted the winner of Cotto - Margarito before the fight , but after the fight when they saw what Marg did to Cotto they rapidly changed their mind. I was ridiculed for predicting Marg would stop Cotto, but he did just that Legitimately too !!!!! I said before that fight that if Cotto Legitimately beat Marg . I would willingly apologize & call him The Champion. That was proven in Cotto II Cotto couldnt legitimately beat a Margarito fighting for seven rounds only seeing out of one eye . Pac had permanently damaged the other & Cotto had to rely on the doc stopping the fight in the 9th when he knew Marg was seriously visually impaired from round 2. He stopped it to save Cotto quitting on his knees AGAIN!!! I'd say the same before a Floyd - Marg fight but not only did I say Floyd couldn't legitimately beat Marg I KNOW he never had the stones to ever face him. That was until the biggest black eye boxing ever had . Floyd "retired" yet again, until that night the CSAC took away Margarito's license to box in CA for 2 1/2 years because they SUSPECTED he may have tried to load his gloves against Mosely. The pads were deemed harmless by the independent lab when tested but the CSAC still refused to return his licence to box & earn a living in the state they control. Guess what , Mayweather ,the so called Best Ever LOL came slithering back in what was nothing short of criminal in my book. The CSAC had removed the dangerous Tijuana Tornado so it was safe for him to return & carry on cherry picking
Prime Ali vs. Prime Holmes Holmes vs. Foreman Frazier vs. Louis Marciano vs. Dempsey Sugar Ray Robinson vs. Sugar Ray Leonard Holyfield vs. Louis Foreman vs. Liston
From about ten years back... https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...ou-would-like-see.470371/page-2#post-15151437 To the thread question, SRR (circa 1949) v Roberto Duran (circa 1980). The Robinson who faced Gavilan for the 147 title versus the Duran who faced Leonard for the 147 title. I'd pay the combined actual (non-scalped) cost of ringside seats of the respective days for the two fights referenced above. $15.95 + $500 $515.95
I dont need a genie for this one. Gilley's womens bikini mud wrestling contest qualifies as many fantasy fights. lol
Pintor-Chandler (think I like PIntor in that one) Nelson-McGuigan (Nelson for sure) Mancini-Rosario (I actually like Mancini in this matchup)
yeah I also heard that Mayweather didn’t want any part of a potential matchup with Margarito or Paul Williams cos he thought they both were far too big
Don’t have one in particular but here are a few: Greb vs. Langford Greb vs. Dempsey Greb vs. Louis Schmeling vs. Frazier Jack Sharkey vs. Floyd Patterson Bob Fitzsimmons vs. Floyd Patterson Bob Fitzsimmons vs. Joe Louis Joe Louis vs. Jeffries Sullivan vs. Marciano Some of these are probably more one sided than I think but I still find them intriguing
They did actually fight but Sanchez vs Nelson 2 would’ve been great. Taking all into account (which I won’t detail here) I’d pick Sal to win again. Another example of same is Johnson vs Langford 2 - a much wished fight for during Johnson’s title reign and when Sam was hitting his peak stride as a HW. I think Johnson (in shape) would take it but it would’ve pushed Jack harder than ever, forcing him to display all his abilities in the one fight - it would’ve been nice to have that on film - both men maxing it out.
Peak for peak, I'd take Johnson over Langford too. As for the real timeline, I'd start to favour Sam from around 1912/13 onwards.
