I though Lewis nicked it, but there are plenty of people who felt Mercer did enough. What do you think? For those who want to watch the fight again online, here's a link to my (free) Daily Motion channel:

Lewis won 6-4. Even if you were being generous to Mercer it’s a 5-5 fight. But Mercer definitely did not win. Great fight though and both men proved a lot.

This was a close fight. Ray Mercer pretty much outjabbed Lewis and he was fat and out of shaped.

I had it a draw i think a draw would've been a fair result it's one of the most legit draws i've seen.

    Lennox Lewis vs Ray Mercer

    1 Mercer
    2 Lewis
    3 Mercer
    4 Lewis
    5 Mercer
    6 Mercer
    7 Lewis
    8 Lewis
    9 Mercer
    10 Lewis

    95-95 Draw

Me and Harold Lederman had the exact same score but we scored rounds differently. That tells you that there was a few debatable in this fight. The only round that left me scratching my head the 4th round which Lederman scored for Mercer ? it was a very good action packed round, but i thought Lewis won that round pretty clearly so i was surprised Lederman had that round for Mercer.

But what's funny about this fight is that it's the exact opposite of what you'd expect. You would expect Lewis to be having success with the jab, and Mercer would have to pull it out with power punches. But actually it was the other way around, Mercer was very accurate with his jab and outjabbed Lewis, where as Lewis had to pull it out with power punches down the stretch especially the uppercut which was always an eye catching punch for him.

Overall this fight was razor thin close and i think 6-4 either way or a draw would of been fair result, would of been nice had it been 12 rounds or seeing a rematch.

Draw. Any score wider than 96-94 for either fighter would be blatant favouritism (or hate toward his opponent)

Because of fights like this, I'm sorry that it's not Jack Dempsey's time (he had more draws than losses).

Oh come on. Lewis won, but he was lucky to get the decision in US. Something like 7-3.

Very hard fight. Shows what a dangerous fighter Mercer was when he was in the zone.

It seemed like a rare draw to me.

I'll have to watch it again.

It is indeed stupid the thing about not having rounds scored even. The guy that pushed for this idea of always having a winner in the round is a jerkoff, I´m sure there was some political interest behind it as always.
