  2. No, they both need a clean KO to win.

Well there's at least a 90% chance Parker Wilder will end in a KO so there is no need for judges. Joshua Wallin though probably goes the distance and no way does Wallin take a decision here. Over and under on rounds is probably 9.5

Last year in Saudi Arabia Hrgovic was knocked down and clearly outpointed by Zhang, judges still gave Hrgovic a close win. Same will happen If Wallin manages to outpoint Joshua.

Yeah, good point. But it was worse than that. The judges scored a UD win for Hrgovic. Those cards were a disgraceful robbery with two of the judges giving Hrgovic 8 rounds. That just didn't happen---or maybe better so say for all three judges to favour Hrgovic, speaks for itself.

So, yeah good point, Saudi Arabia already has form for it.

It's always interesting to me how a decision can be made on who to bet on. I watch Dwyer on Youtube from time to time, and I always wonder if he factors in the likelihood of A-side outcomes.

I think this thread cross-references with the "Clear Corruption in Boxing" thread in Classic.
It is perceived to be the norm now....

I said as much in a thread 1-2 days ago. Happy to see this is the overwhelming view, but sad that this the state of boxing.

Many sports fans can't accept that most pro sports have a little bit of pro wrestling in them... and boxing has more than a bit. Biased reffing, judging can definitely help a fighter overcome their opponent.

From team sports to 1on1 sports, there are many ways to affect the outcome of the game or fight.

They need to go for the KO. I know its not going to be easy (especially for Wallin) but like Espinoza showed last week against Ramirez, do everything you can to try and stop the favorite because the judges aren't looking to do Parker and Wallin any favors.

If that's the case why wasn't Wallin DQ'd for fouls.

Firstly Parker has little chance imo, he has just looked worse and worse over the years. And he got battered by Slo Joe
Wallin will have to fight his best fight ever and coming off a fight against Gassiev, who I still believe is no HW might not be enough experience and he does not have a great KO %. The card is pretty awesome and I will be watching from work.
My Prediction for this card is AJ decision, Wilder stoppage, Bivol stoppage, Dubois decision, Makhmudov Stoppage, Sanchez Stoppage, Hrgovic Stoppage, Jai Opetaia Stoppage

DON'T shoot me if i am wrong its only sport lol

Wallin rarely knocks out his opponent because he doesn't have the necessary power and the fight with Joshua could be a close fight, Parker could outbox Wilder and in that way ensure victory, of course if Wilder doesn't knock him out

The officials won't be needed, in either match.

Lol, I just saw the poll results and they back up what I was thinking. We have no trust in the judges.

Officiating and judging are never on the up and up in any sporting event of any significance.
