Ken Norton Versus Ezzard Charles

Norton W via MD or SD. Similar to Young.

 

My brain is telling me Norton but my fingers clicked Ezzard LOL.

 

My Man Kenny would be way too crafty for Ezzard to descipher.

Norton loses.

He defeats Charles, and that puts him on a collision course with Louis or Marciano.

 

Charles would box circles around him.

 

I go with Norton.

 

Anyone voting Norton needs to have there access to this website relinquished.

 

Close fight. A case could be made for either. Rarely there is a thread where one can't be made for Ezzard.

 

Norton beat Muhammed Ali, twice in my book. He'd beat Ezzard

 

While Charles was in many ways a much better fighter than Ken Norton I think Ken’s proven ability to handle boxer types would prevail here.

 

Why ? As much as I rank Charles higher for other reasons the styles matchup probably favors Norton

 

Good match up, a close UD for Charles in my opinion. Kenny would have his moments, but Charles too tricky, too crafty, wins it down the stretch.

 

i've gotta give norton the slim edge, much bigger not much worse and a style ezzard didn't see much of.
