If you could forget the outcome of any fight, and then watch it again?

Two fights off the top of my head , while not the greatest
fights in history nevertheless were very entertaining scraps.
But they ended tragically , and are stark reminders of what
can happen in a boxing ring.
Mancini vs KIm and Benn vs McCllean.
I've watched many fights multiple times, (Like Leonard vs Benitez, I always
see some little nuance I missed). I saw the Mancini/ Kim and Benn/McCellean
fights live on TV. Never watched them again.

Great question!

It would have to be a fight where the outcome or an event that happened in it was so unexpected that it leaves you open mouthed, kind of like the fan man in Holyfield-Bowe 2 or the riot at the end of Bowe-Golota 1. Leonard-Duran 2 is a really great choice in that regard as well.

But Tyson-Douglas would be my pick with Corrales-Castillo as a runner up.

 

Rumble in the Jungle is an interesting option.
How strong Foreman looked before and, on the other hand, an aging Ali. The event (Zaire/Mobutu/Don King/"Ali boma ye"...) was also unique.

 

Chacon vs Limon IV. Especially if I get to watch it live.

Wow, both of my first two thoughts were mentioned so quickly!

1. From a boxing point of view it has to be Chacon-Limon IV. It had high level action and drama from beginning to end.

2. From an emotional point of view it has to be Ali-Foreman. Ali is my favorite fighter and athlete and I was sure the Rumble in the Jungle was the fight that was going to seal his boxing demise. My friend and I were listening to the fight on his car radio before going into a dance. For the life on me I cannot remember why there was a school dance in the middle of the week. Anyway, my friend was a big Foreman fan and the radio description sounded very bad for The Greatest. I was really sad and he was lording it over me. Then the eighth round came and I was so excited you would have thought I'd lost my virginity. (I did not)
