That was not for 1 second a competitive fight. In fact they could've grabbed de mori or makhmudov from back stage and they would perhaps do better.
All the AJ detractors and Fury fans are looking quite silly now, that was a massacre and AJ is clearly levels above this guy.
If the fight had continued, Joshua would have torn him apart, Joshua looked very good and the real difference in class was too big, this is the real Joshua, Wallin didn't cope because he lacks strength and is not that good a fighter, he relied on Joshua's supposed mental weakness and he didn't expect Joshua to be aggressive...
They have been sparring partners in the past. AJ knew this guy brought nothing to the table to hurt him which helped his biggest weakness right now, his confidence. AJ looked the best we’ve seen him in awhile. Which is a good thing and good for the sport. Wilder is a fraud which I have always suspected (known) Fury has great gifts but he has to be in top shape to utilize them. Stamina, range and mobility. Without it he’s quite average. His reputation has been greatly tarnished between tonight and the MMA debacle.
Wallin was always a safe opponent for Joshua, they sparred and bunch and so AJ new he could abandon his recent overly cautious style and just throw bombs. Fact is Wallin was overrated, yeah he beat Gassiev but what had Gassiev done at heavyweight? He gave Fury what 2 hard rounds after a cut against a Fury who was not dialled in and focused and then got beat up on the inside when Fury decided to take the fight seriously and took it too him.
Of course, it was a confidence building fight, AJ went in to this one full of confidence after beating wallin twice before, it was Well needed, really. I liked the spite in AJ's shots last night, that combo that finished the fight was proper spiteful. Nicely done.
