Styles make fights. Fury dominating Wilder looks less impressive by the day. AJ fights nothing like Wilder and he has the size and power to really trouble Fury. Pre-Wilder Fury beats AJ in a decision but right now I think AJ wins perhaps even via stoppage.
I agree it certainly was Joshua’s mental side to his game that brought the criticism and also like you mention the trilogy no doubt took a lot out of Fury and Wilder. I respect your opinion but like my own opinion I still say it’s too early to tell if Fury is shot or if Joshua is truly back as both have had poor nights in the past and both have fought better in there next fights. Time will tell with 2024 being a big year for both of them .
Fury has Usyk next so what happens there dictates wether we see a Joshua v Fury fight but should it happen Fury is still my pick. Fury would still have Joshua broken down with the mind games before a punch is thrown,Fury would box from the first bell at a high pace making Joshua fight full rounds every round and most likely stops Joshua in the later rounds or possibly makes him quit once more. Joshua has even said it himself during his meltdown moment that he is not a twelve round fighter and Fury knows this .
If we've learnt anything about the "elite" heavyweights in 2023 it is that on any given day all of them can be "fickle" and defeated. But they've also shown the propensity to come back from losses with good wins.
Not sure what Fury has left but he has displayed far greater ring IQ and mental fortitude in his performances than Joshua.
Think this fight will definitely happen one day as it's just so much money to leave on the table. Ideally it's both men in their final fight. Think any of version of Fury gets the win here as his strengths simply play to Joshua's weakness and bar a lucky punch I don't a route to victory. Fury definitely showing up in shape and prepared for that fight too.
I’m not sure that Fury has enough power to keep Joshua from walking him down and landing some very punishing body shots
