One of my faves NIGEL BENN, against The G man.
I was rooting for Nige and was proud of him climbing up off the floor to win. Just a tragic ending unfortunately.

    Retroactively, of course:

Foreman promoting himself through the sea of lions and hyenas to get his title back.

Saddler stopping Flash Elorde in the rematch—near the end of his pugilistic career.

Archie Moore's entire existence is an inspiration, but him dropping Marciano was absurdly cool.

When Lewis redeemed himself in his rematch with Rahman. The epitome of how to correct an anomaly.

Frazier in FOTC, proved he was the best fighter in the world amidst adversity from the negative things Ali said and did to him and the effects it had on him and his family.

One-eyed, 35 years old Erik Morales putting it on Maidana made me tear up a bit.

Miguel Cotto giving Mayweather Jr. a tough fight. At that point in his career, it didn't really seem like he'd have that level of success (even in a loss). Also, his winning the middleweight title. Cotto provided a lot of great moments for his fans.

    Both fights featured Ray Leonard.
Montreal against Duran, We learned Leonard wasn't just
a flash in the pan, seriously hurt by Duran, Leonard
fought with a fury that no one thought he had.
Actually winning the last three rds though the
win went to Duran (Rightfully so)
    Thomas Hearns#1.
Hearns was the most formidable welter in the history
of the sport when one look at all his advantages.
Hearns had it all. Height, reach, speed, skills
and probably the deadliest puncher in the
    history of the division.
The fight started with Leonard trying to
out fox Hearns, staying outside, and trying
to negotiate his physical advantages by
    using his legs and speed.
When that wasn't working he did
what was thought as impossible at
the time, that's go toe to toe with
    Hearns.
    and won. He found away.
But that's what great fighters do.

On a personal level seeing Manny Pacquiao making one last hurrah by beating Keith Thurman and becoming the oldest WW champion made me proud, especially as a Filipino. It's always a treat watching him when he was active, his fights were always like a Super Bowl event.

John Ryder giving his best vs Canelo in Canelos backyard. He got the mexican crowds respect, lasted the distance against a top p4per and he had a broken nose from the 2nd round. True Warrior. Both are.

Louis taking Walcott out in the 11th just around where he said he was going to take him out before the fight.

Set the record straight one last time.

The second Hearns V SRL fight, Tommy had me proud as punch the way he fought back against his nemesis, to get a draw.
No one gave Tommy a cat In hells chance.

The 2nd fight was for Tommy's pride more than for a victory. He always wanted to be regarded a fighter more than a boxer. Steward could be heard telling him to fight the guy not box him, even though over 12 rounds Hearns might have won a comfortable decision, especially against that somewhat past prime SRL. He looked content despite the final result.
