hmm let me think a guy who throws 11 punches a round against a high pressure comeforward fighter who is young and knows how to go for the kill????????i think pavlic has this one in the bag.

B Hop Has A Good Chance To Beat Any Fighter Out There Because Of His Style...i Favor Pavlik By Decision Though In This Fight..but It Wouldnt Surprise Me If He Did Win...

Hopkins will win on all legit scorecards.

    I see a Pavlik SD.

Hopkins has a legitimate chance of beating anyone in or around his weight class. I could very easily see Pavlik being confused and frustrated like never before, and with Lockett being able to land clean shots, Bernard with his brilliant timing should be able to shake him.

B-HOP always has a chance. I don't think he will, but he does have a chance.

Yes Hopkins has a legitmate chance for two big reasons first one being is that yes Hopkins age was a factor into why he became so tired in his fight with Calzhaghe but Calzhaghe made Hopkins fight at a faster pace that what Hopkins is use to, against Pavlik he won't be in that same scenario because Pavlik is not a fast fighter in any sense.

Second reason is that Pavlik never fought at a catch weight of 170, Hopkins has which was in his fight against Winky and in that particular fight Hopkins won on my card 8 rounds.

What kind of answer is that?
Pavlik or Hopkins - simple question.

I actually see a pretty good scrap - both busted up, although if Pavlik's cut it will be from a Hopkins headbutt.

Of course he has a chance and I pick Hopkins by UD in this one.

Hopkins is one of the cleverest boxers in the business and if Pavlik thinks his one-dimensional style will enable him to walk through Hopkins then he is deluded. Hopkins made life very tough for Calzaghe (even though Joe is past his prime) and he has seen better fighters than Pavlik.

As old has Hopkins is I will be very impressed if Pavlik manages to stop or KO Hopkins.

I want Pavlik to win so it can set up the ultimate defining fight for Joe if he beats Jones but I think Hopkins can pull this off.

    Ok, I'm picking Hopkins

But with the proviso I know he'll get robbed, with Calzaghe's SD used as justification by the Pavlikites. They will be nothing alike of course, Pavlik won't hit him with a bag of rice.

Most people on ESB would probably agree with that statement, but that's only because so many no so little about Pavlik's career. He has in fact fought at 170. He has also fought at or above the SMW limit a total of 5 times. All of those fights ended in quick knock outs. All in all Pavlik has spent about one third of his career fighting above 160.
