Clottey takes on the World

Nah, I dont think Cotto or Margo can.

 

Margo already beat Clottey and Cotto would do the same Atritionist laid out why both can/will beat Clottey. No offense my dude but you seem to put out your opinions out there w/o ever explaining them at least give detailed reasons.

 

Cause Cotto would get countered all nite. Clottey has superb defense and as much power as Cotto. Cotto wouldn't be walking down Clottey, he would be standing in front of him trying to find a crack in Clottey's difficult to hit defense. Cotto cant wear this guys' body down with his attacks, so pretty much I dont see Cotto having any good offensive moments with Clottey. Of course he'll land some shots, but no good combos or anything. He'll get countered all nite.

 

a clottey margo rematch is whats up. i think clottey was winning that fight until he hurt his hand. he deserves a rematch. i already posted i think cotto v clottey would be a great fight, but ^ is right PW ain't duckin no one. any of these matchups would guarantee a great fight.

 

All the welters out there right now will lose to clottey and he will clean the division out. He's got too much hunger and too much skill for anyone out there. And I am finally glad that some are starting to see the light and favor clottey over cotto. Prior to the marg/clottey matchup no one would even think that (cept me). Funny how things change.

 

Clottey is just a better overall boxer than Cotto

 

Maybe in different areas, sure, but Cotto has far more intiative and a willingness to grab the situation by the horns. That is far more indicative of a winner.

Clottey is very gifted physically, and potentially flawed in basic mentaility.

 

Nah, Clottey would expose Cotto's defensive flaws. And Cotto would have a very hard time landing combos.

 

To clarify, I would pick Clottey, but only because of Cotto's lack of durability and stamina. You were saying that Clottey is an overall better boxer. I can't entirely agree.

 

His defense is better than Cotto's. Clottey just isn't the most athletic guy in the world. But I agree with you, I'm pickin Clottey

 

Interesting how eveyone wants to criticize Margarito, except Margarito was the only guy to give Williams and Clottey a chance without much reward to gain. Margarito is the only guy to have taken on the best opposition at welterweight thus far, even though it cost him a belt to Williams. He just fought and needs a chance to rest and weigh his options. Margarito will more than likely get back in the ring with both Williams and Clottey. I'll quote Clottey's team, " "As long as the money is right, [Margarito will] fight anyone"!

 

I agree, I'm a Clottey fan. I think he has the potential two beat those to along with Cotto. Yep, I said it!

 

Clottey doesn't leave his body open. U need to watch some of his matches.

 

Clottey wont have that belt for long. Either Margarito is gonna take it or Williams.
