Sometimes in a fight, a fighter is the clear winner, but didn't completely school and/or dominate their opponent. Wide scorecards are generally 12-0/11-1/10-2. Clear scorecards generally read 9-3/8-4. Name some good examples of great fights with clear, but not wide scorecards.
I would say Ali-Frazier 1. Going into the final round, I think while it was a hard fought contested fight throughout, just about everybody had Joe ahead with Ali needing a stoppage to win. As it was, it was Frazier who scored the knockdown in the final round which was just the icing on the cake on the scorecards but he would have won an unanimous decision anyway even if he had lost the final round.
Shane Mosley vs ODLH 1 Fernando Vargas vs Ike Quartey Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales 3 James Toney vs Vassiliy Jirov
I think Toney vs Jirov was pretty wide. Scored it 116-111 for Toney. Good call on Mosley vs ODLH and MAB vs Morales III
